Because ADCS do enough damage, they don't need more.

As auto-attack reliant champions they'll probably do more DPS with their current boots of choice item 3006 . Armor pen boots would mostly be for AD casters such as Jayce Riven and so forth.

the stats that ad assassins want are:

flat attack damage
cooldown reduction
armor penetration

after black cleaver lost brutalizer in its item recipe, it became an item that doesn't give much to assassins until it's fully built. phage's passive is nice, but it doesn't give that much damage at all and cleaver is still a bruiser item more than an assassin item

ghostblade is pretty much the only item left that has a decent buildpath for ad assassins. other than that, for the most part, you'll see a lot of ad assassins (except zed) rushing ravenous hydra for the autoattack reset before they start building the armor penetration and the cdr

So what you're saying is that AD assassins don't have good items because they don't have more than one good rush item that gives them every stat they want and ALSO builds into an item that gives them everything they want?

well, it's more than clear that i'm talking to someone who hates assassins

i'll just note that pretty much every other role has multiple rush items that have decent build paths and gives them the stats that they want

Every other role has items that they can rush and that gives them stats they want. No role has multiple items they can rush that give them every stat they want.

Jungle and Support don't count because their items are less rushed and more mandatory.
