After nerfs, is Azir and Ryze still worth playing? Or for pro play only?

I want to hear opinions of serious players not forum whiners here. I am interested in playing Ryze and Azir again but I'm not sure if the nerfs are just way too much or not.

45% and 42% win rates seem scary as fuck lol

Azir feels terrible to play ever since the rework. Like any champion, you can still win with him though.

He's in a weird spot, if you go for Luden's you have mana but no atk speed which feels clunky to play. You can fix this by maxing W but then your real damage (Q) is left at level 1. If you go Nashor you easily run out of mana and can't waveclear or get into any game deciding fights.

If you get both then you miss out on earlier penetration items item 3135 item 3165 or any other situationals item 3157

Before, if you got past the early and mid game you could do what you want late. But now there's nothing to look forward to in the late game since his range is so low.

I personally wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

They are both good if you plan to one trick them.

But if not then yeah. Pro play only for the most part.

If you already know how to play them, they're actually pretty rewarding. If you didn't learn them before they were nerfed to shit, it's not worth the effort anymore.

Azir does pretty well in my games. Ryze not at all.
