With all the recent "reverts"...

Don't you think PBE should be a true dedicated server to test things by real players instead of basically being a show-case ? And each test lasting more than a week before the patch hits live server ?

Let's look at all the reverts :

KogMaw > True disaster, I wonder how it was allowed to stay for so long Leblanc > Didn't require a true revert (she was funnier to play), only less time on her passive to proc, now she's a disaster Rengar > Same as Leblanc

Same for newly released champions, it's been so long that the same pattern plays over and over

> Champions gets released / reworked > People don't know how to play it > People call it weak / trash > Champion gets overbuffed > People call it broken (in fact it is) > Champion gets either fairly nerfed (Ornn being a good example after his first nerf, now he's trash), either gutted (Irelia)

(Honorable mention to Maokai rework's first state, when his E could one shot from level 1 because damage did stack, can't believe this also hit live server and was here for so long)

I really believe Riot should take the PBE more seriously, and maybe even hmm hiring volunteer testers, who would give real feedbacks. I'm also fairly sure that the game is in this current state because not enough tests are being made before each change. It's all a matter of numbers, might seem "balanced" on paper, but in game, the results might be completely different (looking at you Zoe and Conqueror). Maybe they should stop making 1 patch / week for a while, it's not a secret the current state of the game is terrible. It won't hurt anyone (I guess) to take more time for each patch

The PBE is absolutely garbage for testing things from a gameplay perspective. Not many people play it and very, very few play it enough to actually get to their true MMR. Every game I've played on the PBE is legit everything from Bronze to Diamond players playing goofy builds on whatever is new whether that be items or champions. There is no real incentive for players to play frequently on the PBE. Even if mild incentives were introduced it wouldnt change anything. Every game I've played that has open test servers its the exact same thing. Its random people of vastly different skill levels trying out crazy shit that doesnt even make sense for the sole reason that its new.

The assassins did need to be reverted because they lacked their immediate burst they should have always had. Now with the new runes and ridiculously bad items assassins like to use they have overloaded burst compared to when they were remade 18 months ago.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. They should have realized that assassins do need an instant burst, otherwise they get bursted instead / don't manage to kill their target and will just in fact, do nothing, before even throwing the rework onto the live server

The main assassins that had issues after the Reworks were Fizz, Leblanc and Rengar, mainly because in all 3 cases it changed how they functioned fundamentally. Leblanc became a Kite Mage, Rengar became a Fighter. The only reason Talon is OP right now is because Ignite got buffs and the aforementioned new runes, though in all fairness, talon hasn't received any buffs this season.

Should be noted however that the AP assassins have been for the most part in a balanced state, it's the AD ones that are the problem such as Kha'zix(who got Psuedo Reverted from his Assassin Rework.) and that's namely due to Duskblade+Runes and Ignite. AP assassins don't get a free 200+ Nuke from an auto attack(See Death Fire Grasp).

The problem is that the PBE is just terrible for gauging balance.

Sure, occasionally you can just look at something and go "No way in hell is that balanced", but usually it's just a bunch of one-sided shit because you have 3 Masters and a Diamond against 5 Bronze 2's.
