It's funny how that joke doesn't work anymore. Irelia has been strong for over a year now.

No, it's this Irelia hate that is a joke.

This comment just made your whole post nil. And also, your name... talking about overloaded, with 2 knockups, infinite mobility in the right circumstances, otherwise very good, no resource, short cooldowns, an ability that blocks almost every ranged ability/attack in the game, double crit, passive shield champion. Oh, one of the knock-ups is ranged? See what i mean. His only downsides are the difficulty, squishyness and relatively low mobiity if you are ganked without minions around you

Wait hold on so because he mains Yasuo Irelia is automatically not overloaded?

LOL ok.

No, the fact that he rants about nerfing one champion because they are "overloaded" yet leaves out his beloved main it makes him biased as fuck.

Well if he's so nerf worthy and overloaded, then you can make a thread about him. I doubt you ask for your main champ to be nerfed.

Simplicate1 votes

I never said he needed a nerf, I pointed out that he mains a champion that could also be considered overloaded yet he rants about Irelia needing a nerf. No I will not make my own qq thread and yes I believe this thread is hypocritical. Also I don't feel any champion is "OP" or needing of a nerf, that's a really shitty mentality to have.

Riot's employees are humans. They make mistakes. Its almost impossible for all of their champs to be balanced.

And if no champion is OP or needing of a nerf, then why do you complain of Yasuo? Heck, why are there even such things as a nerf? Why doesn't Riot simply leave all champions as they are? What about old Jax, dodging enough AA's and tower shots to literally sit in the enemy fountain for quite possibly 5+ minutes with enough dodge and his E? Was he not OP? If he was OP, who's to say he's the only one? If one is OP, there is no doubt others are as well.

Simplicate1 votes

Alright so you're being extremely pessimistic right now. I'm not complaining about any champion, I'm just pointing out that you can't main a champion with what could be considered an overloaded kit then complain that a champion you suck ass against needs to be nerfed because their kit is just as good.

Nerfs are basically tuning, every champ needs them every once in a while due to how the game evolves. With Jax the whole dodging stat was completely removed because of its bs RNG element it added to the game. It wasn't "OP" so to speak but more of it just not having a place in this game. Irelia and Yasuo have kits with a decent set of tools that they can use to their advantage but guess what, so does EVERY champion. These kits and features is what make them unique not "OP".

So you're saying that because he mains Yasuo, his entire argument is null even though its true that Irelia's kit is overloaded? She has sustain every hit, high base damages, true damage on hit, her ult is up so much even Diamond+ Irelias use it to clear minion waves as well as fight, a slow and possibly stun, a dash, and because of her high base damages she's generally built as full tank.

But y'kno he plays Yasuo so he must be wrong.

Simplicate1 votes

I'm done. Could sit here and argue with you everyday but you'd still whine about the kit and how it's overloaded. You also are quite keen to putting words into my mouth. His argument isn't null because he mains Yasuo, it's hypocritical. Every champion has tools to use and not only that but a counter to those tools as well. You only get bitching and moaning when you don't know how to fight those champs. If she was as overloaded and broken as you claim she'd have a higher winrate/pickrate along with possibly being played in the LCS/LKS.

From what I can tell, you and OP hate champions with potent kits which is crazy because if people like you were in charge champions like Ekko Vayne TwistedFate Renekton LeeSin would be nerfed into the dirt. Simple champions are not what League needs.

When did i say that? I was saying that he should be less rude and not cry for nerfs on Irelia while ignoring Yasuo

Why do you think he's talking about you? He's talking about the OP.

That stun is absolutely ridiculous for the amount of damage she does, and how tanky she is. They need to to fix it. She wins so many trades because of it. It's wrong. When you're forced to ban a champion, or counter pick them, then it's time to admit that they need some attention when it comes to balancing. We're aware it slows if she's higher HP, and stuns if she's lower in HP. All you have to do is let them hit you a bit, stun, win the trade or disengage. It's a pretty sweet ability, and that stun can be long. She of course, has natural tenacity through her passive.

Comparing Yasuo and Irelia on overloaded kits is kind of a joke. Yasuo is all smoke and mirrors. What you really need to be concerned with is that he's a melee ADC, and that is his limit. He does damage, nothing else really. He's weak from 3 to before he gets his shiv. He has a long cooldown on that shield, an avoidable knock up,

Irelia on the other hand is a mobile bruiser melee carry. That means she's tankier than most, but still does a considerable amount of damage while having a gap closer, health regen ability, and reliable hard CC. Most top laners get punished for the rest of the game if they lose their lane, especially champions like Yasuo, but Irelia does not. Once she gets Trinity Force she's ready to get kills. She's strong at all points of the game, and farms decent too.

As Riven's kit also gets more attention for how over loaded it is, I think we're going to swap those lame old, "Better nerf Irelia" jokes with "We really need to nerf Irelia" statements. I saw one thread/youtube the other day about people talking about how bad play is not punished with Irelia, and I truly believe that.

ModAcademy Kayn3 votes

For her stun, do one thing.

If health is higher = Slow If health is lower = Stun If you heath are exactly the same = nothing at all, no damage, no nothing, equality has been reach why would you break it

Shroom Junkie2 votes

I main top lane.

Literally my only two foes there that I can't beat ever are Irelia and Cho'gath.

Both have overloaded kits; high sustain, high burst, tankiness, and CC.

srslytho pls rito stop with the overloaded kits nobody likes them

Sona Ping1 votes

Then you know which two champions you still need to learn how to lane against.

Both have overloaded kits;... Cho'gath

...Or "Nevermind.", because you are trying to tell a joke. I can't tell.

Then you know which two champions you still need to learn how to lane against.

...Or "Nevermind.", because you are trying to tell a joke. I can't tell.

Cho'gath has 100% AP ratio, 70% AP ratio, and 30% AP ratio, two hard CC's, a basic attack buff, 3 AOE abilities, true damage, 150-900 bonus health, and a built-in smite. His Q can quite possibly be dodged, but its also quite easy to land, especially if Cho'gath can predict what you'll do. You can't tell me that isn't overloaded.

Sona Ping1 votes

Okay, you were serious. Then go with the first one; you should learn to lane against Cho'gath. It's not even that hard, if he dares to use an ability, he burns a third his mana. Also, you list those AP ratios without realizing that those percentages, additionally with those cooldown and costs, are substandard.

Cho'gath is not overloaded; all his abilities are what they say on the tin. "Overloaded" refers to champions who have multiply abilities stacked on top of each other with multiple, three or four, passives. Cho'gath is not overloaded by definition; stop using buzzwords.

my idea:

Equilibrium Strike: stuns for s shorter duration when the difference between her current % hp and the target’s is less than 20% Stun Duration: 0.5/0.75/1/1.25/1.5 followed by a 0.50 sec slow. actually more like 1 / 1.25 / 1.25 +0.20 sec slow/ 1.5 + 0.40 sec slow/ 1.5 + 0.60 sec slow.

if difference in hp greater than 20% still receive full 2 second stun however.

since its really past the the extra .5 second on her stun that can be devastating. at least this way you can still flash away from her.

or you remove this champ and release her again when her kit isnt toxic anymore

Riven, Malphite and Fiora all have a higher winrate for toplane in Platinum and higher.

Abyssphere1 votes

I don't really agree that Irelia's overloaded. Her kit is very varied in what it does but it's mechanically pretty regular for bruiser standards. Passive sustain, on-hit damage, single-target stun, a dash, passive tenacity and ranged damage/sustain on her ult. That's a fair amount of things but for a fighter? Hardly anything extraordinary.

If Irelia counts as overloaded then I find it hard to think of a fighter that isn't overloaded. They pretty much have to be, that's why we've been waiting on that fighter rework for so long. Can you really name another bruiser with less stuff going on in their kit than Irelia?

She could probably do with a nerf but I don't think that's because her kit has too much going on in it.

WhiteFireOCN1 votes

How the fk is irelia's kit overloaded LOL

CasterGilgamesh1 votes

bro what do you want all fighters are considered broken and the ones who are not considered broken are never played much

Slamurai Jack1 votes

The only problem I have with her is the E. She's a champion that snowballs really hard because she's a mobile bruiser/melee carry with a 60% slow if she's ahead while also being near impossible to snowball against because she has a 2 second stun on an 8 second cd. Go ahead and try to continue to bully Irelia after lvl 7 or so, because you can't. Between having high natural sustain with W and R, strong disengage on a low CD with E, and strong burst the moment she gets sheen, it's almost impossible to continue to push your lead on her even if you've killed her early. She easily has some of the strongest comeback potential of all top laners while also snowballing extremely hard if she gets ahead. That is a very silly dichotomy to have in a game like League.
