Why bother with late game picks anymore?

It feels like all the late-game carries arent strong enough compared to early game champions. I mean, why bother picking jinx or sivir when they is still weaker than lucien or tristana (lets be real trist isnt weak at ANY point) at 40+ minutes? Why bother picking syndra or anivia when ekko and zed are stronger than you at all points of the game? how about picking vlad? why do that when you can grab kayn and do the same job, but better and earlier?

it feels like late game pay offs just aren't a thing anymore. once you hit the late game you've grinded 30 painful minutes of being shat all over for, you still get crushed because early game champions late game is still just as strong.

Tbh most late game picks are already strong by mid game.

Take all marksmen who are supposed to be strong late game, they're already one bursting people down by 2 items. People exploding was a huge issue earlier in season 5 and although there has been steps to step away from that things still die instantly regardless if you're late game or not. I point towards the higher amount of gold generation and the usual.

While I agree on all of the points you made, I do so with a caveat; catch-up experience was an utterly abysmal way to go about fixing it for a myriad of different reasons.
