Please explain why jungler is not a popular role.

1. It's the hardest role to get into
2. Everybody hates Junglers. Especially if they're on the same team. No one is ever happy with what you do.
3. The Jungle resets semi-annually, so you need to completely relearn it again, on top of the learning difficulty
4. Most Junglers function like glorified Supports, and the few true carries screw up team comps
5. Related to the last point, you're rather consistently weaker than your solo laners for most of the game, and almost all bot lane combinations scale into the late game better than almost all Junglers
6. Laners like to say that Jungle is OP because they influence lanes so much, but for all but the most extreme Gankers, all Junglers can do is just tip the scales a little. If your laners are already losing, you can't do much.
7. When a Jungler loses, they lose hardcore. Can't gank because behind, liable to being counter Jungled, the vast majority of laners will refuse to help you and will blame you for losing, and you're not likely to scale into anything useful.
8. Even when you're winning, you're still liable to taking all the blame if anything goes wrong as the Jungler. Or if somebody just doesn't like you. See point 2.

because if ur 10 yr old mid laner doesnt get to carry the game and loses multiple 1v1's. the baby will call jg diff.

Because the jungle is kinda messed up right now. Red side gives so much more xp then blue side so it’s a real pain in the ass to deal with.

It's boring af. Like EVERYTHING after season 6 has just been SOOOO FUCKING BAD in my opinion with the exception of plants they're cool.

In season 6 it took more skill, you could play more champions and you fall behind for camping a lane. Right now basically every jg can clear pretty easily without not having enough hp to gank, most of them clear camps so fast they have nothing to do but gank, and the champion pool is much more limited since the changes to raptors and krugs.

O yeah and it sucks when you have laners that basically don't do anything to help you since if the enemy mid and jg go into your jg you basically lost a side of the map due to how slow respawning camps are and how fast they are to take meaning you get behind and if the enemy is not dumb they'll keep doing that.

I just miss the jg enchants you get for smiting different camps :c

Jungle is unpopular because Jungle is just an extension of how good/bad your mid laners is doing. Noone wants to play a role where they have little to no control of their success.

gank centric meta. you must gank in order to remain even. folks can't do it. they wanna farm. /season 9 jungle
