No but seriously, has this happened to anyone, i went from 54% overall winrate, 70% winrate on yorrick over 20 games, 100% winrate on Trist on 6 games, to literally 10% winrate. I've lost 20 games, almost in a row, i just cant win a damn game, literally 20 games in a row i havent had a single game where me or any of my team mates were popping off solo carrying, almost every single game i had flamers since the champion select, even when we are ahead my team mates (and i ) will find a way to throw.

Was playing a game while writting this, had 50k dmg with yorick, killing people 1v3, we have baron buff and still somehow we manage to lose the game, i wish i could say i was surprised but not even the slightest

Update: lost 3 more, now im literally at a 0% winrate https://gyazo.com/5e254538ae3b9186a54e47dd452c3b74

It's riot algorithm. Your winrate was probably too high, so they evened out your win rate by pairing you with lower (below 50% win rate players) to force you on a losing streak.

The 'forced lose streak' thing is horse shit. Just a trash excuse people cling to to shift the blame for being hardstuck.

What this guy is experiencing is ridiculous bad luck, With millions upon millions of people playing the game there has to be statistical anomalies just by rule of averages

Go win 5-8 games in a row, if you can, then op.gg the inevitable 5-8 losses you get in a row. Bet you it'll look suspicious. Gotta actually be on a winning streak to know what I'm talking about [slayer-jinx-wink]

First of all being forced to lose 5-8 gsmes straight after a win streak is just a straight up lie.

This is the fallacy of the "forced loss streak". The 5-8 game win streak you describe is always viewed as deserved. The 5-8 losses is "forced" right? Was the 5-8 win streak "forced"? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO of course not. This is what's known as a self-serving bias. The win streak is because you deserved it because you're 'much better than people in this division I'm just stuck in ELO hell' or some other excuse along those lines. However, an equal loss streak is "forced" on you.

You see this even on very large scales all the time. For example, let's take a look at how Christians view God. When good things happen to people God is rewarding you. When bad things happen, it's not because God is cruel or malicious, but rather "it's a test". Thats because they are already dead set on their God being kind so they warp the story to fit their agenda.

Likewise with LoL, people who are already dead set on some fairy tale concept like ELO hell are going to warp the agenda to suite that.

This is called confirmation bias. Confirmation bias is the very well apparent tendency to search for, interpret, favor, and recall information in a way that confirms one's preexisting beliefs or theory. In other words, people tend to seek out or interpret data in a way to confirm the belief they already had instead of letting the data determine their belief or opinion.

I guess the fact my first 100 games this year had a a 70% win rate followed my the second hundred being 35% with every game having two-three int griefers is just a figment of my imagination.

I guess the once every 2-3 games Instant Feedback message I got was a figment of my imagination too.

Maybe the 2-3 Level 3 unranked per game + some Iron are a figment of my imagination as well.

I know what you think you know. In reality you're just speculating, the same as he/she is, and we don't really have one way to prove one or the other correct.

P.S. In Christianity good things happening is NEVER perceived as "God Rewarding you."

  1. It's your interpretation of a "good thing" (which may in fact be a bad one, from point of view)
  2. It's far more likely a trick of man/devil
  3. God is indifferent to the single daily lives of one human being, and there is no evidence nor manifesto of continuing miracles. Jesus was our last miracle.

Also.... Is it not that weird that you have a losing streak after a winning streak. Let's say you have luck with your teammates. Everyone is in a good climbing mood. Now you win 8 games in a row. The system ranks you now in a higher elo. Before you were Gold 4 MMR, now your MMR is Gold 3. That means you play TOGETHER with and AGAINST other players with Gold 3 MMR. But your personal skill level is still Gold 4. Your skill did not climb as fast as your Elo in this situation. So you don't really belong in that Elo and that's because you will lose more games until you are in your real Elo again.

this thing was so damn common since the start of ranked, where every winstreak you almost always guaranted defeat streaks. Ok, but what kind of defeats exactly? The ones where your teammates are just worse than enemies. Or enemies play overall on a higher level. Where every lane is losing or already lost. And you can't do nothing about obvious defeat that's coming. Then there will be few more of those games. to make sure your winratio will calm down.

I heard people call it "forced 50%" and this is not horseshit. The system just makes sure climbing takes time, even if it has to bust your balls in the process.

I don't wanna say that it's all because of matchmaking, but matchmaking is real broken since Seasonstart. I get unranked players vs 80% winrate smurfs in my P1 games.

I know that they changed something because I get all my game invites between 0 and 30 seconds now (EUW/Jungle/Plat1). In pre-season and earlier seasons it was ALWAYS 1:30 - 1:40 for me.
