Because he has a non-combat ult, if he gets caught, he's a dead mother fucker, and if you stuck around long enough to get three stacks of AAT on you, chances are you're an immobile champion who just happens to be countered by him, or you're an idiot who just stood there and let him do it, and deserve to take all that damage

EDIT: You gave him a triple kill at 21:00 minutes in and then another kill just a minute after. Beforehand he had gotten 1-2 kills. That is YOU! Your team fed him the kills with misplays. If he really was that broken, he wouldn't be sitting so low on the popularity list.

Look, if you just aren't going to reply with anything meaningful then you have no need to argue. I read everything, analyzed it, and then looked at the real evidence... the match. YOU MESSED UP! He didn't just dominate the entire game. He got a triple kill, then a quadra, and then got some kills from that, probably because your team is the most dive heavy team in the game against one of the most anti-offense champions in the game. He didn't even build Support so throwing the Support tag on him is hardly effective. Communication skills, get them.

EDIT: Why aren't you complaining about the 12/7 Mordekaiser with 3000 more gold than him?

Tahm doesn't have the same utility as thresh. he can't save a teammate over long distance, 2 stun that requires 3 stacks to work and need to get close, an ult that is pretty meh. Tahm support is absolutely shit to play as. He doesn't bring as much utility as other support like Alistar and Braum or even Bard. He's bad at poking, susceptible to kite and everything else. He's only good at all in but if he can't get 3 stacks on priority target before he dies or his carries die then he's useless.

Looking at the kit, he should be out of line right now as a top laner. Like stupid crazy op type. Titanic + Ult + tank build and he's doing massive damage, has waveclear, utility and map presence.

I mean his ult is Pantheon's, with the damage added to auto attacks and abilities rather than having to land the single most telegraphed ability in the game. And it scales off of stuff Tahm actually builds.

It's interesting. I think he'll catch on before worlds, and if he does it will be interesting to see what will happen.

Tahm Kench is actually a stupid strong top laner. His 8% hp ratio on everything, combined with titanic and his ability to auto win trades with his consume. Also, 3 stacks do not take long to get in a 1v1. AA, Q, AA and you have 3 very quick, then he walks you under tower to take free tower shots. Not to mention his free "undo a bunch of damage from this trade" W, and his "oh no i'm about to die better not do that" W. He just outtrades really hard because of these things.

It's not hard to get the stacks off in that way, but you're also sacrificing a stun which is pretty big trade off, and I doubt ANYONE can walk an opponent to under tower range if the guy had the common sense to try to start running, and even if they did, chances are the lane has been shoved into Tahm's tower, so aggro won't be drawn unless you attack him

I would go as far to say that he has one of the worst ultimates in the game, and it is one of the singular issues holding him back from appearing in high level play.

TF uses the ult well because he's an assassin and his ultimate reveals all enemies. Tahm Kench can duel, that's for sure, but in terms of an independent teleport, it just doesn't work out nearly as well. Sure you can bring someone with you, but then you are a decently tanky, decent damage immobile support with no ult, against other champions with ults. Twisted Fate's ultimate can also be used as an escape, because it is not interrupted by an auto attack.

You can use TF tp for escapes but that is pretty much a waste of his ult.....

TK ult is actually 0.5 shorter cast than TF and even though it doesn't provide the true sight on champions it still provides a lot of global presence. i don't know why people thing the toad is an engage support, he is a back liner defender, you are uspposed to stay on the back line and just swallow anything that comes near your adc, that's where he shoudl be so he doesn't get punished by being immobile. You are supposed to place yourself between your adc and the frontlines so you can help both sides, if assisins go to your adc you hindrance them, if your assassins are having a tough time you save them. His ult is meant for mid game, youa re supposed to TP with an ally and gank the lanes but if your adc does't want to leave because of farm or whatever reason youc an still go and set up a gank on your own, with good placement and knowing where and when to ult you really don't need a blink, just cut their escapes and slow/stun them, you can lick them to stick to them long enough to eat them later, you are not supposed to get kills on your own but set it up for your teammates.... as it is I see most TK using their ult just to get back in lane faster after a recall

TahmKench is slow, incapable of gapclosing at all in combat, and unable to access his most powerful effects, particularly his crowd control, without telegraphing them significantly first. He is one of the most immobile tanks in the game, if not the most immobile, and so deserves to deal more consistent damage and have strong utility, CC and tankiness, as almost all of it can be outplayed or avoided.

I just ram into his face and meatblocck him from my carries (I'm playing tank), as he is about to die, he decided to ult me, since I'the only target with 3 stacks). He is so stiff is not even funny.... Now if you have bad positioning he can make you pay really badly for that mistake.
