General nerf to AD assassins

They're all in a too good spot right now. The only one who still struggles is Kha'zix, so I have a simple proposition.

Remove armor penetration from Malmortius.

Put it on some other item. One that does not grant such a huge spike in survivability early on when against AP midlaners.

Make Malmortius a more bruiser oriented item like it was last season, with more survivability and less damage.

Btw, I am a Shaco player and often make Malmortius (last season I wouldn't). This is not a biased mage-main thread.

Or you could just nerf the champions individually because the itemization is fine and entirely necessary

Yeah, but we all know how Riot is about that.

They'll likely overnerf Rengar and Talon while favouring Zed and champions like Shaco will pass unnoticed despite having the biggest win rate out of AD assassins in Diamond+ due to his low pick rate. Meanwhile Kha'zix will stay in the pit because they don't know how to buff him without making him toxic.

I wouldn't say the itemization is necessary. Malmortius was entirely fine last season in my opinion.

I'm not saying remove the armor penetration, I'm saying put it on other item, probably a new item, maybe the assassin's dagger they're planning on releasing.

malmortius was not fine last season. It was a really shitty upgrade from Hexdrinker (which was VERY good) that very few people really bought except as the very last purchase they'd finish up on.

I don't even think assassins are that bad right now. The vision changes were much healthier for the game despite what Boards might say -- no, more vision is not a good thing. Now you need to think about where you want your wards to be, which means Riot can let assassins thrive naturally and now they can reel them in. Not to mention, their biggest counters are also exceedingly powerful right now, and tanks will always exist to stop them from doing their job.

this is actually a pretty good state of balance as far as the meta goes
