Mastery criteria for Udyr is messed up

This should probably be fixed, as the averages used for mastery rating are assuming Phoenix. You can't get an S as jungle Udyr with Tiger in a real game, because he doesn't CS well. You normally ignore Krugs + Raptors and can't hold lanes well, due to mana constraints.

i.e. I carried my team in most of these games and had #1 gold in a few, but still the highest I got was A- because of my CS. https://i.imgur.com/dwUYlc0.jpg

As Phoenix. He doesn't CS well as Tiger. You only do scuttle, wolves, and gromp. The rest destroy your mana pool and take too long.

Then um... why don't you use phoenix? xD

Because it's bad and not a viable build path with the current state of the game and itemization. Tiger is extremely strong right now, but you play it by just chain ganking and taking scuttles on your way between lanes.

Tiger Udyr is almost at #1 win rate for jungle in Diamond.

Interesting. Well, I thought the current "S" was derived by how well people were playing the champion currently. There were times I could play Orianna and get an S no problem, but when she became popular it became a lot harder to get an S. As soon as she became unpopular again, boom, easy to get the S again. But I guess for you it's a problem with cs and how to get it in that buildpath. It's like trying to play orianna support, I'll never get an S that way because it's not feasible to get enough cs in that role.

Interesting problem. Not sure how to help, but thanks for the explanation!

Grades only compare you to others on the same champion in the same role, so orianna support only needs as much cs as other orianna supports tend to be getting, and doesn't require cs numbers anything like what orianna mids are getting.

It's unclear to what degree different builds of the same champ in the same role impact grade requirements though. I doubt they differentiate them grading wise, and it's just in theory what one build may be better for in cs, it loses out on in kda, or vice versa, and since grades take in loads of factors (notably not just cs/kda), if two builds are equally viable, they'd both be able to produce comparable grades.

I'm not sold that it's necessarily a lack of cs that is holding grade back. Improving cs never hurts of course, but theres nothing in your grade that outright says 'you need more cs', so it may well be that your cs is good enough and you just need more objective participation/kill participation/vision score/even better kdas/etc.

You think Udyr is bad, try getting S ranks with Nami.

4/0/21 and 107 vision score= A+ on Nami

5/0/6 at 20 mins= A+ on Nami
