Why does practice tool have a time limit?

I wanted to do an hour long game to see what my damage from gathering storm will look like in a game that long, but unfortunately the game automatically ends before that (I forgot exactly what the limit is). Anyways, is there a reason why the games have a time limit? Just curious.
