i used to have a 64% win rate when i got into plat 3, then all of a sudden, im getting the worst teams and every enemy team has multiple smurfs and games are over in 20 mins.

Now after losing around 1/3 of my games over 3 days im sitting at 57% win rate, BUT MY LP GAINS ARE ONLY 17-18LP instead of 22-24LP when i was at 60%+ wr.

I see (very few) players with 30-40% win rates SOMEHOW in plat 4. and i think. how are they even gaining ANY LP. If they have 40% win rate what is their LP intake? if im only getting 17-18LP in my own MMR/ELO how are people who are way out of their ELO range and WAY under their win rate range for decent LP gains even getting to these ELOs.

I don't understand how some people are gaining the same LP when they are WAY under the 50% win rate for decent LP.

The LP gains dont seem to be correct if someone with 55%+ win rate is gaining the same LP as those with >40-50%.

Just wanted to point out im not sure how LP gains even work.

**TLDR: You gain the same LP at 55%+ win rate as >50% win rate players. For why come? ** [sg-lux-2]

LP gains and losses is based off of the MMR, which is a stat we don't see.

Win rate doesn't really have anything to do with it.

If you win against a team that has a higher MMR than you, then you gain more LP. If you lose against a team with a lower MMR, then you lose more.

18-20 LP gain per win is pretty standard for most ELOs though. Anything below that means you're winning against people who have a significantly lower MMR. You're gonna win more games, but you won't gain as much LP.
