The videos were little vague but it looked like he jungled without killing things?

Yes, he channels with a jungle monster for a while, and when the channel is completed, they disappear (and leave behind any resultant buffs/etc that'd come with normally killing them with other junglers). When he does the channel, they don't aggro him, but in return, he needs to use up health/mana for said channel. And the channel takes a while and is most likely interruptable with a decay system on the charge-bar.

He could, but then he'd literally be a free walking buffet.
