I know the meta is like laying shit in layers over top of each other. The top layer is the obvious stuff; lethality, Varus, Jayce, all that stuff. The second layer lies Cassiopeia and Leblanc.

Turning around in .01 seconds Faker style is not adequate counterplay to that ultimate. Additionally, miasma is the entire width of a lane... Makes it pretty hard to exploit her one weakness.

She wins mage matchups really hard because she can either farm freely or go highly aggressive... If she takes exhaust, she can further limit her opponents options.

She doesn't need boots and her CDs are not slowed by attack speed or anything, so DPS's only slightly slower under the influence of exhaust.

Rylai's is also highly exploitable. I just never liked champs that were good because the person has high APM. Even kalista had to time her hops to avoid stuff.

She's a mana hungry DPS champion with worse waveclear than many other mages who's also kind of short range. Ahri Anivia Lux Orianna Velkoz Almost all midlane mages have burst, and burst kills faster than DPS. The burst mage would win in an all in.

Her miasma has a minimum cast range, which makes fighting assassins hard for her. Her ult is the only thing that can really save her, and yes

Is counterplay to that since it has a decently long cast time, similar to Orianna's ult. Yes, she does win trades if her opponent is poisoned and doesn't immediately back off, but she's a DPS mage. Of course she's gonna win extended trades -> Orianna (autos) Swain Azir Anivia all will too

Almost all midlane mages have burst, and burst kills faster than DPS. The burst mage would win in an all in.

She loses hard to most mages because they out damage her and outrange her quite a bit. In fact if she misses q, which early is extremely punishable because she cant spam it, she will lose all trades. Her e is SO reliant on her poison its not even funny

She has to poke them down with Q and E before she can "go all in," as she can't burst the other opponent down. Her Q gives her some speed, so hopefully she dodges their skillshots.

Still, I dislike her new Miasma. It's more useful in teamfights, mayhaps, but overall, is less cohesive with her overall kit- less utility and less power on her own.
