Fiora's Riposte doesn't block tower shots.

The tooltip says Fiora's Riposte blocks all incoming damage, but tower shots aren't actually blocked. Why is this?

(1) Fizz can block tower shots AND reset the tower aggro on a cooldown that is 10 seconds shorter, plus do a lot of damage. He can also reactivate it to do a dash (2) Yi can block tower shots and also reset tower aggro as long as he keeps auto attacking on a very short cooldown, plus it's a gapcloser. (3) Kayle and Poppy have ults that let them block all damage too, the same tooltip description as Fiora's Riposte, but they don't take turret damage, and can perform other actions while invulnerable. (4) Pantheon's passive completely mitigates turret shots. (5) Champions like Riven and Udyr can spam shields to block turret shots.

Riot, I'm fine with it not blocking the turret damage, but can I have a reason why this is? Is it because of her power budget? I don't know, it's just that Riposte's cooldown is fairly long, from 21 seconds down to 15 seconds. It's only going to be used once, MAYBE twice, in a team fight. It also ROOTS HER IN PLACE, unlike the other abilities mentioned above, and is therefore less versatile too. Why can't we use it to block a single tower shot?

Just some food for thought.

That's because otherwise they'd be able to block MULTIPLE tower shots, due to the lasting nature of their wall abilities, and they'd be able to block the shots from the rest of their teammates too. I'm talking about a single tower shot.

Braum's E only one hundred percent nulls the damage of the first shot struck

Because Fiora is supposed to be full damage. Just damage damage damage. The only reason she even has her riposte is because she's melee.

Fizz and Yi don't block them, they simply go untargettable and negate the damage.

Kayle and Poppy have ults that make them immune to all damage, tower, ult, or AA, besides Poppy who can take damage from whoever she ulted.

Many people have shields. From Riven, to Rumble, to freakin' Janna. Heck, Janna's shield can block like 3 shots before it goes down from either the damage or the time limit.

As for Pantheon, I don't even get why it blocks tower shots. Pretty stupid in my opinion, lets him trade with you under tower with his Q and take little to no damage back. But he also doesn't deal nearly as much damage as Fiora, so.

Yi is melee. Fizz is melee. Going untargetable is stronger than her Riposte.

Old Fiora could go untargettable for longer than Yi and deal more damage. Granted it was a lot less but she still could. Now, if she can kite around her target(which shouldn't be hard if you're animation canceling anyway), she can literally deal 110% true damage to her target and heal her and her allies for 700 + 300% bonus AD if they stay in her heal zone. This allows for some sick towerdives if she can pull it off right.

Fiora is completely different from Fizz, don't even try to compare her. Saying its OP that Fizz can towerdive better than Fiora is like saying its OP Tahm Kench can stun a target with his Q while Zac can only slow them. Their kits are completely and totally different.

I didn't say it was OP. I was saying that the description was that it blocks all incoming damage, when it actually doesn't.

It did for me earlier today. :/

It doesn't. Try again. It even says it doesn't on the wiki.

Heck, why the hell are you trying to get her to block it anyway? Towers are weak enough as it is, let alone with these ass hat champions like Pantheon that can block or negate all incoming damage. Why do you want more like it?!

I just want clarity. Currently, the ability description says that it blocks ALL incoming damage, when in fact it doesn't.
