Akali vs Aatrox

So new Akali got her gameplay enhanced and still annoy players the exact same way she was doing before. Old Akali was a Bruiser sustain assassin that had a way to completely avoid interaction with any champions. New Akali does the exact same thing but better. New Akali fuck over melee hard with her Q spam every 2 seconds, while still having her shroud.

Aatrox for the longest time was called a shit champion. He got a mini rework a while ago and there was a red post made under someone comment saying " you should really try him out." Fast forward he got a small bit of popularity around his rework then was called a stat check champion on Reddit. Others followed this and he became known as this after being called a shit champion for years. I really dislike new aatrox cause he was built around this shitty meta where you just snowball and win before 20min.

Why did Akali keep her annoying gameplay but Aatrox was deleted and replaced?

Old akali's ult were all targeted abilities. Her old shroud was pretty tiny and didn't allow for much skill expression. Her Q was a targeted ability, and gave her a bit too much sustain when paired with gunblade for an unmissable ability.

As you can see she had a lot of targeted abilities. No skillshots. She was purely stat checky as a fight with akali boiled down to whether she had more items then you or not. You didn't really need to manage her energy costs as they were all so low so she was basically a resourceless champ.

New Akali takes skill to use properly. You can dodge her E and Q. You can move out of range of her empowered kama, and you can position yourself in a way that she'll have to make a hard decision regarding her ult. The second part of her ult also has a relatively long cooldown so she puts herself in danger for quite a while to get all of her damage out.

Old aatrox at least had one skillshot in his Q. It's just that the main way he did damage with autos was too binary. He would kill you if he had higher stats and there was nothing you could do about it, or you would kill him if your stats were higher and there was nothing HE could do about it. Very boring. New Aatrox has interesting ways to engage a fight, and even disengage a fight. He has interesting ways to harass so he doesn't have to all in every fight either.
