URF Is Coming AT LEAST TWICE This Year...

Their exact expectations were not fulfilled immediately (the day isn't even over) so any change from that is irritating and they don't know how to deal with it.

Its more that what Riot did in its place is buggy, bad, not amusing and just poorly executed from what I am reading.

well, the reason people complain (or at least my reason but I saw several others) was that in season 4 when urf was originally released, Myself and others wanted URF to be a permanent game mode. URF was the greatest thing ever...it disrupted the meta (although it had its own meta) but effectively, any champion with an actual ranged ability you could cast became viable!

Zed was annoying but it didn't really matter when you could actually outdo his energy.

Twisted fate could cast every 1.2 seconds

melee champs have it rough in urf though unless they're blitz or nautilus or zac or chogath or now illaoi or Jayce(technically not melee but melee), Kayle did decently with her ult up every few seconds, Maokai became GOD TIER,

there is just a ton of things you can mess around with in URF and have fun
