I don't really think its that mages are dominating, its that assasins cant roam without like, half their tower being chunked while they're gone. they did reason that an assassin that cant roam basically makes it so that a mage would be a much better option in pretty much all situations.

I just wana k ow why they dont want bot to be adc/support mid to be mage but top can still be tank/bruiser lane.

This shows 8/10 are ap, with 3 being mages and the rest skirmishers/assassins.

That's just popularity mind you, change it to winrate and you see its quite different.

Most played only means so much, you should sort it to see winrates and compare them. Dominating doesn't mean just played often, but how well they are doing.
