Teemo's Ultimate, Noxious Trap, Doesn't Feel Like a Trap At All

What it is supposed to do is making you afraid that when you step on one of them, you fucked up and now Teemo is going to capitalize on your mistake and use the opportunity to strike.

What it is instead, is just a harrassing tool with little interaction. If you expect to walk into an area that is most likely shroomed, you don't think - " I better be careful, Teemo might lurk behind every corner to kill me, better not step into one. ". Instead, especially if you are a tank you don't really worry about anything but a little damage that can be regenerated anyway.

When you die to a trap it does not feel like Teemo even worked a little for it. Of course it is satisfying for Teemo to randomly get 300 gold and a potential shutdown while shopping, but even as a Teemo player you don't think - " Damn, I just outplayed you, that was all planned. "- it's more like a pleasant suprise.

It's like a competitive sports team giving up one or two players for the offchance of one of the enemy players somehow getting struck by lightning at a random factor - Yes, it can be entertaining but it does not have and should not have a place in a competitive environment like League.

Even his builds reperesent that. The last games he was actually played competitively that I can remember, which was really only when Hai chose to do it for some reason, it was a full AP with no attack speed or lich bane. What that means is that you do not actually expect to react to any shrooms and actually attack people, you just expect the enemy to walk into shrooms from time to time and hopefully at the right moment, and occasionally Q the adc to make his auto attacks worthless for a relatively decent window of time.

And this is what I don't like about his current state. Teemo is intended to be a hit-and-run camouflage guerilla kind of champion, that knows to strike at the right time before the enemy even realizes what happened and then either finish him off or run away again to strike later to not get into an actual fight. He's not some guy that plants some landmines and then hopes that people walk into it and sometimes maybe gives a few shots from a save position.

I don't know how this can actually be achieved, he may need a rework of his kit, definitely for his ultimate and maybe give his other abilities some interactions with it. Something like, if you walk into one of his shrooms he will deal bonus damage to you are under the effect of it or he will instantly get the passive camouflage bonus or a movespeed bonus to the target that is under the effect of the shroom. They also may only work in a shorter distance around of him instead of being global, or deal less damage to make up for that.

Maybe that's just me but that is definitely how it feels like to play with, as or against Teemo for me atm. I would love to see some of your opinions on that and comments from Teemo mains or even Riot employees, if they happen to see this, would be highly appreciated.

Wow and i thought i was the one who did the text walls in this forum. But seriously Teemo is a very OLD champion who literally hasn't had his kit changed much from his release to begin with. The point is Teemo is a 'scout' type of champion who is the kind to dive deep into enemy territory, set up traps, if a enemy champion comes by while your stealthed in a bush or standing still then you can surprise them with a quick Q and auto burst down combo which unless its a tank, they are gonna die fast.

Teemo is a Marksmen/Assassin not a Assassin/Marksmen, his tool kit works more of measures to put enemy champions in bad positions to trade against him, kill a fleeing target with a well placed trap that was put there earlier on or even screw over some enemy champions with a teemo shroom that will burn off 10% to maybe even 40% of their health with ease a good deal of the time. Making them think twice before they try to save a team mate who currently has several enemies on top of him and end up making him even lose that opportunity to save their team mate thanks to the slow on the shroom and them having a small panick attack from tripping a shroom.

If they wanted to improve any part of his kit, they could simply have his Q blind could tack on translating part of his damage (or namely his E or R DoT damage) into true damage and maybe throw in a few measures such as gaining extra move speed when a nearby enemy champion has been under the effect of his E poison or R's poison. Even still his kit is extremely reliable because it preys on a critical detail for players of MOBAs in general tend to get ruined by, lack of awareness when you are 'certain' no enemy champion is around to ruin you in the jungle.

Even then, his simplicity lets him play flexible, he isn't insanely overpowered, he also especially creates that high priority focus of being a dangerous enemy whether its in team fights using Q blind on the marksmen and bleed targets out with his on hit bonus plus DoT dmg or its outside of team fights when he's taking the time setting up shrooms at likely escape routes for the enemy team whether they are pushing lanes or escaping a team fight to make sure they don't get away.

If Teemo had to get an actual descriptive title for himself, i'd place it as "Disruptive Infiltrator", because he ain't some penta killing champion like Katarina or Darius, he doesn't pull supreme mobile jukes like Akali or Yasuo, he doesn't screw you with retarded stealth/deception gimmicks like Leblanc, shaco, Wu kong, Twitch, talon, Evelynn or Rengar. He just prepares a battle field with traps and simply lays in wait for those opportune moments to catch a enemy while they are unaware and off guard from any possible place, where'ver Teemo sets it up.
