Thunderlord's Decree
It has half the scaling of Deathfire Touch, it needs 3 consecutive hits, and a 30 seconds cooldown as opposed to no cooldown at all.
Is there a cooldown missing in DFT's tooltip or am I missing something? The hell!?

It has base damage that's good in burst combos. That's the difference.
Every third hit, which is not really a thing for burst comboers.
Every third auto or** ability.** I use it on talon and it's god damn amazing. And some single abilities count as two, for an example, talons W. The forward and backward slash count as 2 different spell procs, so just blink behind them with E, and hit them with both ways of you W and boom, that's the burst damage, plus thunder lords, and you still have your ult and Q to go along with that, and rav and ignite if you have them.
TL;DR, Thunder lords hurts, especially on burst comboers.
Oh yea, that's a thing. Yea, that explains it.
What do you think a combo is? Basically every assassin has a 3+ skill burst combo, so I really have no idea what game you're even playing.
Y'know, things like QEWR, QER, QWERQEW, QRaa, QREW, QRWR, EQWR.
So.. just prepare 2 powerchord charges on sona. Get ready to pick a target. aa first, q, powerchord, and boom, immense amounts of damage buddy. It works also pretty well on combo mages/assasins, like leblanc, or ryze...
It also has higher base damage (10 per level) and applies in a (small) AoE.
IIRC, they may be planning to reduce the cooldown to 20 seconds.
I've never seen the AoE hit more than one minion, but hey
Hence why I specified small.
I'm honestly not sure if I've seen it proc yet. I've only used it in a couple games and they were all before they hotfixed a major bug on it.
TLD has higher base damage
If you want to burst someone, you're going to hit them at least three times unless you're Veigar. And having half the scaling of DFT doesn't sound so bad when you realise the base is over thirty times higher than DFT's, and it's instant rather than over 3 seconds.
