What's the point of playing Jarvan when champs like Camille and Kled exist?

I remember when Jarvan was actually worth picking for his amazing lockdown. He was also kind of tanky with the shield and had decent mobility. But in his current state he's COMPLETELY outclassed by champs like Camille and Kled. Their mobility and tankiness is better, and you can't escape their ults unlike Jarvan's.

He deals more damage from basic attacks. His ult actually does do damage and he has more range then camille.

I don't know why you're including kled in the comparison.

He was comparing how easily the three champs can stick to a target. Jarvan has 2 dashes with a pretty long cooldowns, but Camille and Kled have three dashes with kinda smaller cooldowns.

And Camille has her passive increase on AS with e, her passive shield for 20% of her max HP, and the effect that she gains from her ult that gives her some magic damage on her autos

The point of Jarvan has always been sticking to your target for your team. Kled sticks to the target because all he sees is item 2319.

I was wondering why King Nidhogg was running Hail of Blades and Lethal Tempo on J4, that looked so troll.

Yes your argument is true, but if you make sure that the enemy has used up their dashes before hand and they can’t flash, then Jarvan’s ult is very useful. With how many dashes are here, yes he is kinda bad, but in a few situations he is very good.

Cam is lot squshier and is better at 1v1 where as Jarvan's lockdowns is something better suited for actual teamfights and seems to be able to survive the dive. And idk about you, but I cannot jungle as Kled.

Now I only say this as someone who has only watch Jarvan games, so don't take my word by itself. Except for Kled jungle. That would suck.

j4 does NOT do more damage than Camille/Kled. And inorder to match their damage he has to build to be a lethality 1trick R button pony that either works or doesn't work at all. Whereas Kled is just immortal, and does the same damage while building bruiser.

Yea this is basically why he sucks. He pretty much needs to be full glass cannon or he's useless. It would be nice if he could actually build like a bruiser and still be relevant. Maybe let his 'q' ignore a percentage of his opponents armor or something like that.

He once again is more of a team player than the other champs. His E not only enables one of the fast engages in the game, but it also gives his allies AS to press the advantage further. His ult forces people to use their mobility on it or be trapped which enables wombo potential, but at the same time they have to avoid his E Q combo to get caught. He's not as bad as you make him seem. I still use him from time to time and get great success as long as I build something like item 3147 first to make me seem big and strong and then transition into more of a bruiserish build to give me that durability when they start to fear me and use all their CDs on me instead of my teammates.

What are you talking about? Jarvan is clearly an assassins, did you saw his R Ad ratio or base damage? That things does 80% of a squishy hp. Who needs wall when you can 1 shot champions.

He is far from being a tank, he is an AD assassin with tank stat. It's like saying lets have an Assassin create a wall where squishy cannot flash out of it and has to deal with a champion that literally Half health them with 1 auto attack.

Maybe you enjoy playing Jarvan?

An AoE knockup, an ult that actually captures multiple targets. Camille is rather dependent on terrain as well, she's predictable in her move patterns while j4 can be free form.

Because he can still 100 to 0 a squishy champion with one rotation of abilites with basically no items, while also having mobility and tankiness and CC. It's sad that Camille is somehow even stronger.

Honestly, the lethality build J4 is gross so he needs to stay down until they can fix that.

His abilities are way too easy to dodge. He's trash.
