Am I really paying 400 gold for just the Cutlass active?

Because that's literally all you get for finishing item 3144. It used to cost only 240 gold to complete and gave you an extra 5 AD over the component items. Now we're paying an extra 160 gold the same exact active (and 250 more gold than 5.21), all so we can get the nerfed item 3153. Was Botrk really so good that we needed to nerf the components and the final item?

The active is a big deal. Especially with players like vayne who rush it. 100 bonus magic damage on active with a 25% slow for 2 seconds. That's a big boost in damage early on. Especially with characters who rush it like Vayne. I personally think increasing the price is perfectly fine.

Not to mention like 90% of ad items were nerfed, so it's not like that was the only item changed. Lastly with the bonus increase in gps (gold per second) the increase on these prices is not that big of a deal now that you have more gold flow. Just my opinion.

I'm just asking because they apparently thought that 240 gold for 5 AD and the active was reasonable before, so the fact that they would raise the combine cost of the item by 60% and no longer give 5 extra AD would either imply that they weren't thinking too carefully about the changes or that cutlass was blatantly overpowered before. The choices are still BF sword vs Cutlass. Buying BF used to be able to get 25 more AD for only 100 more gold, but now you can still get 15 more AD for 350 less gold? How the hell does that work out?
