I hate jungling in silver

I know I am not good at the game... my highest ever rank was like G2 50 lp lol back in season 6. But in season 6 I felt like I had a really "good" read on jungling at least below to around gold 2-3 level. But ever since that season I just feel like I don't really know what I am supposed to be doing. Well... I mean I do... but seems like it doesn't matter in silver/low gold.

So in season 7 they nerfed jungle and did the stupid catch up xp bs. Took me awhile to realize farming in jungle was mostly pointless especially in silver and instead it was just better to gank 24/7. Once I started ganking all the time and just farmed when I didn't have lanes to gank my win rate sky rocketed. But I hated that play style so much once I got to gold 4 I just stopped playing. Felt so cheesy and dumb.

So in season 8 I thought the idea of counter jungling and out farming opponents was back with the reduced catch up xp. And maybe it was... idk... I really just hated season 8 overall and stopped jungling lol. Got gold and quit again playing adc lol.

But now season 9 I like.... am trying to play jungle again. I currently have 40% WR on Sejuani and like... I know she not the best for solo queue but I feel like she fairly strong. But I was comparing myself to another silver player and they had like 75% win rate... avg 1 more kill than me, 2 more deaths, and a little more assists and less farm. But have a huge difference in win rate. I assume this idea of actually trying to just strategically setup ganks and farm just... still not an option in silver? It really just doesn't fucking seem like it. I literally lost the other day to a Twitch jungle. He was 4-1 with 17 cs after like 8-9 mins? I even told my teammates to watch the level 2 gank.... and he literally went red buff to mid and got FB lol. ugg.... I just feel like trying to farm and do shit is so pointless and just need to gank as much as possible again. Obviously there are other junglers to play I was doing well with Elise early on in season but... kind of lost interest in playing her. I thought Vi would work as she used to be my main and got buffs but not really feeling it.

I just... don't like scuttle craps and jungling anymore lol. I feel like there so much pressure on me to impact the game early and my teammates have no idea wtf happening ever. Granted.... generally this means enemy team shouldn't as well... but seems like they do more often lol. Just feels so dumb walking lane to lane but.... it honestly probably works. I know farming important again but... I feel like in silver it better generally to just trade some farm for lane pressure.... hell might as well just tax lanes while Im at it not like these kids going to hit all the cs.

So happy Riot reverting new changes. Even though I'm slightly higher rank as jungle can't wait to just play lanes lol. Just seems easier than trying to have to out think enemy and your teammates.

Match quality as a whole in Silver is shit.

Tanks in the jungle are gonna give you a really hard time in silver since by picking it you are:

A)Assuming someone else on your team will do enough damage to carry B)That one fed guy will follow up on your engages C)The rest of the team will follow you two into a teamfight

With that listed all pretty like that, you can probably see where I'm going with this. Hard carrying your way out of silver is all about securing as much gold as possible (take the kills and tax) and hard carrying with a ton of damage and utility. Luckily pretty much every meta jungler fits the bill.

my favorite is when you're top securing the second round of your buffs and your laner is STILL pushed up to the enemy tower and they are like "WTF WHY DON"T YOU FUCKING GANK!? WE CAN GET THEM!"

Yeah... if we both rofldive and die to tower hits, sure. Then they get mad when i don't gank them all game cause they've already fed so much. You NEVER try to save someone who's drowning. It will just drag you under too. i completely understand that you're drowning, of course I feel bad, but you dove in head first without knowing how to swim and expect me to just rush to your aid after witnessing you do it and you calling me a faqqot moments before jumping in. Just. No.

I think your problem is that you think you can just play the game the same way every time and expect to win. This is simply not the case. If you think the enemy jungle is going to gank level 2, then be ready to counter it by positioning yourself in the right area at the right time. A lot of the early game jungle is about out thinking the opponent and countering their strategy. This is what frustrates me about silver junglers, they do not check the map and see an over aggressive top/mid that needs to be punished level 2/3.

Your not wrong. I feel forced to ban Zed every game because god forbid enemy team picks him into my mid. For some reason I didn't ban him that game so my Orianna was in a tough matchup. Then dies lvl 1 makes it even harder. But that's the tough part I guess. Like..... if it was me in that situation I know to just play back and waste Twitch time especially when I acknowledged my Jng telling me watch out for gank. Then I just chill and struggle even against a bad zed but meh I am bad at ori so w/e lol. Just annoying since some champs just generally snowball so hard in the avg game since they just easier to play early game than others. But you never know if your teammate is like knows their champ and the matchup in silver or if they just... auto push lane and hardly play the champ etc. etc. Like if everyone in the game was mid gold I wouldn't have really worried about the matchup or the gank because at that point people seem to start thinking some things through. But in silver people don't even know the basics of the game sometimes. Really hard to know how to read it. I mean.... obviously if I was just better I would hard carry most games and ultimately I just need to improve. But feel like I am almost over thinking shit at times in silver lol. Like in season 7 I used to try hard to come up with good paths and like balance my farm and I would literally watch enemy team jungelr walk over wards with me literally pinging them and my teammates just standing in land dying anyways lol. So then I just started doing that and it worked so fucking well lmfao. Like I hated that it worked that well... but it made ranking up some divs really easy. So not sure if I just need to rush ganks on the easiest lane to gank early and just farm when I don't have a good gank opportunity or what lol.

I think you should quickly be able to evaluate situations as they come up. For instance, there is plenty of times when I play jungle that I willfully ignore helping my teammate if they are super low on health and by the time I got there; I would be fighting a 1v2. Instead I choose to snipe the other teams Blue/Red or take an objective. You have to think of it all as a trade-off and you can only do so much as one person in a ten person game. There are definitely going to be plenty of games where you have teammates you can't save from themselves so just ignore those games and try to win the ones you can win. If you try to determine a likely path of the enemy jungle, based on what you know (who came to lane late to help with what buff, etc.) you will win more of the games you can win.

Don't forget the people who whine when they get ganked early and immediately post "gg free kills top lane". Plus you know its impossible to damage carry as tanks like Zac and Sejuani . Makes me wanna reee

As mentioned, if you want to carry easier, you need to play a carry jungler. Someone who gets kills and wins fights early to keep the game steamrolling. Playing a tank can make plays happen, but youre reliant on your team most games to end things.

Playing someone like Rek'sai, Vi, Xin, etc etc. Beat the enemy jungler at the first scuttle, roll that into a successful gank, and suddenly the enemy basically cannot stop you and you can go where you please, and take any objective you want unless they properly coordinate to stop you.

Dont underestimate the value of Scuttle, and of course get every Dragon you can, and try and secure the Rift. You CAN solo the rift, especially if you see the enemy bot side and know the gank is going to fail, dont be afraid to start that bad boy.

Speaking of that last bit, you gotta read the map and read the enemy jungler. See him rotating bot and youre at Red/Raptors? Well, you arent going to counter that gank, so MAKE something else happen, steal his jungle, gank top lane, start rift etc. etc.

Wards in the enemy jungle can help a ton as well. See them walking past raptors towards mid? Guess who gets to show up for the counter gank and turn that 1v2 into a 2v2 double kill? You do.
