The Solution to Muting Pings

In the scoreboard, next to the mute button, add a sliding bar or a switch that mutes that player's pings.

If your argument is that pings are important and shouldn't be muted: you haven't played this game long enough. Take your opinion and shove it somewhere safe.

you can turn the volume down. I haven't heard a ping in years.

The issue is that one player can be a twat about pinging, and it's obstructive both visually and audibly.

Plus, sound is a super important part of this game that is good for determining when you can or can't do certain things. For example, your only warning to play safe when Corki picks up his package is his sirens. Turning down sound to accommodate pings leaves you vulnerable to these kinds of events.

Then you have the issue of them still being visually obstructive.

He's asking if you can mute pings from specific people for that reason.

that mutes all the players pings, along with everything else in the game. Not a good solution.
