Ever since devour, everyone has complained how broken yi was after the ap yi bullshit. I wasn't around for that so I know nothing of broken yi. anyways ever since bloodrazor and the wuju nerfs, he has kind of fallen off but not as hard as shyvana. She's in a state where she is so balanced that she can't be strong anymore. She's more of a choice pick/preference. I'd know because she's my #1 OG champion. That's how I started in the top lane in pre season 5 but is yi still strong in low elo

yi has always been strong in lower elo.

becuase in lower elo people value kill over thier own life.

yi is "broken" in lower elos becuase he scales ABSURDLY well with items.. is simple to play and can 1v5 penta unless u can work together to CC him if you can keep the yi from getting kills.. he isn't a threat.. yi weaker than most champ in the game when he has low gold

people in lower elos will die 5 times to get a kill and call it "worth"

they wont work together to CC him and kill him.

and becuase yi is GUARANTEED to get free kills in lower elo. and people DON'T know how to stop him when he is fed. he becomes unbeatable 15 min in

Yi can be strong in any elo, it's all up to how much CC the enemy team has, how much CC you can dodge and if you have QSS. A Yi that is not locked down can destroy a team, but he needs a few items before he gets to that.
