I just played a game where we had 3 assassins vs a legitimate composition.
The sad part is we almost won.
This led me to wondering which is the strongest class now in a 5 vs 5?
My vote is tanks, they can just run it down mid.

fighters are only good if they are broken. same with divers bruisers etc.

The only class you can pick 5 off and still win are Marksmen because they have the best scalings, best objective control, best items in the game and they become inherently tanky because of lifesteal combined with Sterak/Maw/Night/Scimitar. They have the highest damage output in the game and you can't focus 5 of them. That is why we have seen successful meta's of 4 adc's per team during season 6.

Illaoi is great against immobile tanks, it's incredibly hard for them to dodge her tentacles and much easier for her to land her E at range (which she'll have to do in order to do damage, since they'll just be super passive). During your ult, you can easily kill more mobile targets as well, as long as it's not a 40% CDR Fiora or a 45% Cdr Riven who is good enough with their Q's to actually juke your stuff.
Personally I love for the mana and resists, which scale nicely with lifesteal. My Fiora build is usually Phage first back, into Rav, BC, then a Bloodthirster, into a Frozen Heart and GA. The passive also helps dueling.

5 assassins versus 5 marksmen/mages is probably going to be a good day for the assassins. 5 assassins versus 5 tanks or 5 supports (who survive or have cc or similar to stop assassinations) would be less good.
