what if his Q was faster if he had more attack speed from items ? just thinking that if he could AA more he would have passive more and wouldn't lock him to only build same items every game and maybe open new itemization paths and make use of attack speed, as of current date, attack speed is a not so good stat
He would probably build trinity over black cleaver and then build the same items as now.
I'd like to keep the fantasy of using my E to reposition my Q when I need to at all the stages of the game, thank you very much. It's setting up and landing those slow Qs that makes him fun; if you want some flashy, quick combos and animation cancels you've already got Riven covering that.
seems kinda broken tbh, since his whole kit revolve around it, it's not like garen whose Q is just an integral part of his spinning gameplay (the AS changes for Garen are kinda stupid though). If you get used to it, it would just win you every single late game team fights, and we all know how Aatrox can just take over a fight once he has his core items. Also, it'd probably make it hard for the e>q combo. Basically it'd turn him into a bursty champion rather than a sustainable one.

He is not meant to build attack speed anymore.
If anything, the animation time should scale with levels. I've seen Aatrox die b4 he can even finish a Q cast, it"d be a much needed buff.
It'd feel pretty clunky, honestly. Imagine if Blitzcrank Q started off slow, and got faster with rank, until it was faster than it is now. That's a non-obvious gameplay pattern for something that matters a lot, and it messes with the way people dodge it and predict with it. Aatrox isn't really locked into any specific items, either, from what I recall. The dude's got 1-2 core items and boots, but that's the same as every other character.
