If ADC's are supposed to be good late game.....

Why are they still the first die and still can't output enough damage than most mid lane mages once players reach late game? To me, ADC is a very unrewarding role, not only do I have to wait for the team to start the team fight, I have to constantly stand in the back sniping targets and hope I'm not the first to die this time. With Vladimir, I can make game changing plays and make the initiate during a team fight with a flash + Protobelt + ult to deal massive damage to the enemy and still end up surviving.

ADC's are much better at taking objectives, and most offer a better sustained ranged damage.

False, have you seen a late game carry with a competent team? Vayne, Kog, Twitch, etc. You assume they die first, they should if they misposition. They may not be one man armies but they win teamfights if they position correctly more so than mages.

Any role that dies first isn't going to do damage. They also don't do as much burst as most midlaners late game, that is true. They're not designed to. They're designed to do consistent damage, that is why they're called dps champions. Damage Per Second. I main adc, I find it fairly rewarding. However, you can't just play the frontline like you could for bruisers or tanks, you have to use your head. You can watch montages of adcs (hello Vayne) going in and doing massive damage on the frontline, but it only happens in very, very specific scenarios where that adc waited everything out and seized a small window of opportunity. You have to use your head to play ADC.
