Assassin rework in a nutshell

Katarina - Harder to play, way more complex + potential. Current you have to burst someone low health to get a reset then chain kill everyone, ult if you don't get a reset. New one have to keep in mind all that plus dagger placement with Q and W.

Talon - More like assassin's creed, but useless. Will be played as a bruiser if they buff his numbers instead of his inability to gap close. Movement speed gutted for no reason: 350->335.

Leblanc - Delays everywhere, will have to build tanky, will be basically a ryze with more mobility and way less dps.

Zed - Since his AD gain is not tied to him stacking AD and the lowered damage on his spells, expect him to build stuff like: item 3031 item 3087 item 3046 to maximize the effectiveness of his ult active & AD gain.

Shaco - AD shaco gutted, AP shaco buffed. Will be always played as AP unless noob or trolling.

Akali - Will be forced to autoattack more, expect more AD and less AP on builds, forced to build bruiser, can't burst anymore.

Ekko - Still can't go full AP, will have a tanky AP build instead of full tank.

Fizz - Easier laning phase, ult scaling damage overall nerfed, base buffed, but has more potential utility. Combo is not WQ anymore, now it's Q - wait 2s - W - AA. Ekko 2.0, will be forced to build tanky as he has to wait 2s in open fire to get his full damage.

Khazix - More consistency, way less burst on isolated targets, has to get at least 2x Q to kill someone. More utility on evolved ult and W. Will use a bruiser build.

Rengar - AP useless now. Ult reveals only 1 champion, much less reliable. ADC just has to stand next to someone and rengar can't jump on them. W has kinda TahmKench healing, may be built with more hp to abuse this.

Tl;dr : They all have delays everywhere in their combo forcing them to wait a few seconds and open to retaliation in order to get their full damage off. This will result in most of them either being useless or built bruiser.

Fizz laning phase got worse, not better, his W takes more mana than the old W to clear waves + the stupid delay.

AP fizz will probably have a 30% win rate with that kit, its sad.

The thing is you can easily last hit with W refunding mana and cd. Also waveclear by using Q, applying W passive to all minions, then last hit them with 1 W AA each.

But yeah, he will be forced to buy tank items to get his full damage off.

The W only has a partial refund.

The old W was 40 mana to get a whole wave, new W you have to cast it 6 times which spends 10 mana per cast (counting with the refund) which equals to 60 = nerf.

As someone who is not a fan of assassins and was worried about the assassin update, this makes me feel a little better. Although I am sure they will be meta and if build bruiser could still be annoying. Although the idea of having a couple of seconds to react (currently an adc main) this does bring me some comfort.

I'm actually expecting Talon to become a jungler first, midlaner second, depending on his clears. looks like he'll be really good at ganking... which is what he should be doing anyway.

Very Accurate! As a PBE Tester I confirm this.

So... thought this was supposed to fix bruiser assassins... Gonna stick to playing hard engage tanks... ==

Yeah they all except Katarina Zed Shaco will be forced to build bruiser.

Now depending on the numbers, they will either be able to 100-0 squishies in 2s with a bruiser build (which may be OP) or they won't and be useless, because, unlike real bruisers Irelia Fiora, they don't have dps.

Rengar might build glass cannon, but he will be useless during teamfights, only able to 1shot lone enemies.

only thing i can say is they limited the burst so that the enemy knows its gunna happen now vs the unopposed blink of an eye 100-0, giving players the ability to nope the fuck out and get to a teammate, while really buffing the idea of assassins doing the whole kill one target thing, while giving them better teamfight power and late game scaling as well.

You know Kha's passive isolation damage bonus now scales with AD that is a massive buff, and his skill is also getting a scaling buff on isolation targets. And if you look at kha pbe play he hits significantly harder. He is looking to be the strongest of the assassins so far as the only one who got their burst buffed.

Kinda wrong on the Shaco thing, his AD will have awesome burst damage and AP will just be slightly better. Both will still be used.

AD on live is 220% crit + 20% backstab, PBE is 145% crit (at later levels) + a flat damage amount

AP shaco lost 10% (30% if backstabbing) AP ratio on his E, but gained more damage on ult (miniboxes), 50% ap ratio (72.5% with new backstab) on deceive and ap scaling duration on boxes.

Now, I disagree with your Kha'Zix prediction.

They moved the damage from his Q to his passive, meaning he does more damage on non-isolated targets with auto attacks instead of spamming Q. His Q's also have a .77s cooldown with 40% CDR (which, by the way, is not hard to achieve) which means he can get it off really fast, so added damage to him. His unevolved W is good for clears, evolved W is good for utility and chasing single targets. His evolved R is probably the new first evolve, because the 3 seconds invisibility (or camouflage?) out of the brush is really strong for ganks at level 6.

He won't use a bruiser build because he now has a lot more utility earlier on. His Q still does a considerable amount of damage, he'll just be using auto attacks more often. He probably will build Duskblade as well, which adds on to the damage on his auto attacks (crits if enemies haven't seen you for at least 1 second) with will give him lethality.

It will be a buff to Kha'Zix because he will have utility earlier on, stronger ganking potential, the same damage (Q moved to AA), better reason to build a Duskblade (AAs will be more utilized), and for his numbers, that still has to be decided.
