Something I am afraid about Caitlyn

With those nerfs to her traps, I wonder if Caitlyn will be too weak. And if she proves to be indeed to weak, will Riot revert her previous nerfs or at least give her compensation buffs?

I am not saying that this will happen. However, things like this happened in the past with and and is happening now with - they had a problematic ability in their kits. Riot nerfed everything but the problematic ability, since that ability was their identity. Riot's reasoning was that they try to preserve a champion's identity and nerf other things so that their weakness will be more "clear"/"exposed" (something like that) - But the champions prove to still be problematic after such nerfs, so Riot gives up and nerf what is actually problematic with them, despite the fact that it's their identity. Then, the champions are left in the dust because Riot doesn't revert previous nerfs. It requires months of buffs for them to even be playable.

I think Riot should stop refusing to nerf what is problematic with a champion just because it is part of their identity. Actually, if the identity of a champion is what is making them obnoxious, broken, or at very least frustrating to play against, then it is a sign of poor design. It may also be (but not necessarily is) a evidence that this champion requires a rework.

I am not saying that this will happen to but if that happens, I think Riot should at least consider reverting previous nerfs. Actually, some Caitlyn players are already complaining that she is "clunky" after recent nerfs. As much as Caitlyn is hated, obnoxious, and non-interactive, no champion deserves to be gutted or left unplayable.
