Why does everyone in Silver want to make big plays constantly?

I've became scared of anyone with an AoE initiation ult on my team now as they are just so impatient and clueless. Every Yasuo, Kennen, Malphite, Amumu, etc I swear feels it's mandatory for his team to follow him to his death if he manages to land his ult on whoever no matter what. 3 of my loses in my 4 loss streak have been because our Yasuo ran ahead of everyone, tornado 2 enemies and proceeded to ult, in which he got melted and we're down a man which lead to objectives being lost which lead to the game being thrown away.

Why is it so hard for people to play patient and wait for their team? Or even just using a ping to tell us that you're going to go in? Anything.

Usually it's due to inexperience, either with the game in general or the champion they're playing. A lot of players in bronze-silver seem to have this "jack of all trades, master of none" approach when it comes to their champion pool in ranked. I'll frequently look up someone's op.gg post game and see that they have played 30+ different champions for a few games each in ranked. The problem with this approach is that while they may not be particularly bad on those champions, it's nearly impossible to master that many champions. One facet of mastering a champion is knowing what you can and can't get away with (your limits with that champion), which the yasuos in your example didn't grasp.

The second factor could be that they just don't have enough experience playing the game yet. They haven't learned what a good engage looks like, or how to check the mini map frequently so they avoid tunnel visioning.

Whatever the case, it's important to recognize that the only thing you can do in that scenario is ping them back from bad decisions and focus on your own game play.

Because how else will they carry their Wood 6 allies against the enemy's Challenger team?

I started playing ranked and went from S5 to S3 and I'm seeing alot off stupid shit like this, also bad calls on a jungler. I usually play top and we had a Yi jungler and he did nothing but dive under tower when there was no need to, I mean we lost the match. He asked "why are we losing?" He's like 3/14 or something like that.

People just don't wait, if I'm backing with 25% health(roughly) my other 4 teammates just jump right into to a 4v5 and die. Another thing to is drag/Baron calls. One of my recent games (late game) the whole enemy team was at Elder, but Baron was open. I pinged and said to do Baron since they were at Dragon.

Nope they go to Dragon because our Yi was doing Blue and everyone dies. The morg on my team even said that was a bad call to make.
