anyone find it annoying how overbearing the meta is?

i'm doing better with champs i don't even like or play well because they're strong in the current meta while the ones i do like are weak

Well, honestly my mains are perfect in this meta because they are all late game so i like this meta more than assassin meta because more ap mids are viable

shaco is one of top junglers in diamond. he has no counters in this meta, so he's very strong now.

You do realize every moba is like this right? metas are a part of how the game is played. If you remove the meta champions by nerfs or item changes or whatever, other champions will just take their place and become meta and then people will complain again and it is an endless cycle. Watch diamond players, they play their mains regardless of where they stand. I know a guy who played darius all the way up to diamond and only plays darius and darius is definitely not meta. If you were good it wouldn't matter to you who other people play a lot, you would just play the champs you like and are best with.

i'm trying to get to masters here but it does not seem like the effort is worthwhile with yi as it'd take too long (i'm sitting at 100 games right now)

Honestly this is the most stabile and diverse meta we have had for awhile. And honestly unless your like diamond or above it doesn't really matter what you pick aslong as you know your champion as I have seen pretty much anything work lately. The only few champions I view as problematic is Gragas as anyone can do well with him.
