Massive item build path rework

What if every top tier item built out of something down to the base items? Examples BF Sword builds from a Pickaxe which builds from a long Sword Needlessly Large Rod>Blasting Wand>Ancient Tome Giants Belt >2 Ruby Crystals Cloak of Agility>Brawlers Gloves Recurve Bow> 2 Daggers

Basically id like to see them continue with what they did to Chain Vest

I feel this wouldn't hurt the game in anyway and would only help if you screwed up and backed or died without enough coin for your next big item.

Repost from another thread:

Building offensive items is not much of a choice. Different core items have different timings/power spikes and abusable weaknesses, that is something intended.

Defensive items are generally a reactionary thing. You build them out of necessity because you need them to survive. If you couldn't survive against a 1-0 Riven, your only option was buying an extra Cloth Armor that didn't build into anything. You can't expect someone who can't stay in lane to farm an extra 420g.

tl;dr: The change to defensive items is an anti-snowballing mechanism, nothing more, nothing less.

I agree with the offensive items Needlessly large rod built from blasting wand BF sword from pickaxe

However Devi Freak Mint brought up a good point with the defensive items being anti-snowball

Flattening the power curve for damage items lets people who are ahead stay ahead.

There should be an inherent risk when farming for expensive components, and a legitimate answers even when behind. i.e.: Your opponent grabs a Pickaxe for the earlier power spike in hope of coming back.

If everything built out of Long Swords, that scenario would not exist.
