It's just a bad item for balance.

It's a staple build by most assassin's. It has really good gold efficiency even without the active. The stats all multiply each other. Damage, CDR, MS, AS, Crit, armor pen. I mean why not build it for the damage. And the CD isn't even that low.

It even doubles the armor pen of brutalizer (20 armor pen is quite a bit for most people, thats 20% of an average lvl 18 base armor value) and adds damage.

This item was made for bruisers and carriers. And its being used outside of that. And guess what items are removed for that reason. , Atma's (had to be nerfed as it was being used for bruiser's not adc), and even Executioner's (more of a terrible item problem here).

Youmuu's goes literally unnoticed, or is even called a bad item by most everyone who doesn't actually look at the item.

Time passes. Someone ranked uses it, and reveals that it's actually a good item.

Everyone starts buying it for a particular build, everyone else starts calling it too strong as a kneejerk reaction.

It's not that. But when you look at all the assassin's building it. It gives them way too much flexability. It makes them hard to shut down as the stats sync so well. Look at talon before his "gut" almost every build had it. Zed's started building it lately as well. Lucian builds it way too much because of how well it syncs with his ult. And its a 45s CD. Which is pretty damn low for how good it is. Yi builds it to make his no ult period a lot easier. Anybody with assassin traits and AD is building it now because 45s downtime for something making an item near 200% gold efficient is pretty broken.

For a long time nobody built ghostblade. No one complained about it then. This is just the usual "nerf everything that's popular" bullshit that litters these forums.

I can't think of many people who actually build Ghostblade,

It's pretty much only a thing for Master Yi (his fav), some Talons like to get that into the mix and it's a niche item on Zed.

That's pretty much it.

So umm, No.

Executioner's and Atma's were removed for no good reason, they were really niche items and are actually useful in some rare circumstances but Riot simply remove it without compensation. Now ad can't really counter high healing sustain champions, and hp stacking bruisers lost some fun.
