For example, Currently you are unable to buy more than 1 boot with enchant on it for example Sorcerboots(homeguards)+Sorcererboots(distortion) When you try to upgrade the second boot with another enchant, it will replace the first enchant. This means you can only have 1 enchant in total. (magic pen from Sorcerer's boots stack its just a normal passive)

Imagine the possibilities. 4 smite items, with x4 effect smite ermagawd smite is useful now.

Or possibly x3 support items, Facemountain(Face of the Mountain) + Frost Queen + Shurima

Its kind of stupid how we cant buy weird item builds.

It would be really interesting to have this tested on pbe

This would cause so many balancing issues. Remember the GP5 days? Heart of Gold? So many smites would be broken too. Let's say you get 4 brutalizer enchants, on top of chilling smite and challenging smite. You suddenly have crazy dueling potential

They restrict gp/5 items because having all 3 of them would be incredibly OP.

The boots don't stack movement speed. You could spend the gold it would take you to buy all the 3 gold earning items and get better items that support your whole team. They restrict them to prevent noobs from buying items that would screw their team over.

ya but it would be better to spend your gold on items that give you more magic pen. Spending ~1100 gold for 25 magic pen is not worth it.

Even worse, someone could build all four smite items and go devourer. That would mean that each time they killed a large monster that they would get four stacks. Sound a little bit broken? However I feel like we need some more items to work with. It seems like everyone builds the exact same items and its hard to test out different builds.

Riot doesn't do this for no reason.

Alot of balance issues would arise if you made what you described possible.

When you try to upgrade the second boot with another enchant, it will replace the first enchant. This means you can only have 1 enchant in total.

This is necessary, as if you bought more than 1 pair of boots (denoted by an icon of 1 of the 2 boots in game, much like how most shoe stores only display 1 of the 2 shoes), you could be really OP or really useless. Let's say you are vayne, and you have Berserker greaves with Alacrity, and Berserker greaves with Furor. You will be kiting like crazy. You will be chasing like crazy (with her +30 movespeed moving towards enemies). You will have 2 boots that you don't know what to do with.

Smite is useful. It was useful when there were no jungle items, because it instantly did X TRUE DAMAGE to non-champs, effectively securing (given you can time your smite cast correctly) the GOLD and XP (and maybe buff) for you\your team. S(eason)2 Scenario here. Say I'm a level 15 lee sin, and the level 14 gankgplank is taking dragon. You can out-smite the gangplank for the +300 GLOBAL GOLD (+25 also for you) and GLOBAL EXP GAIN

Let's see here. 30% CD, +6 GP10, +3 GP Creep killed near you, +10GP per damage instance on enemy, +(minion gold) per minion, +20 MS, 50AP, 150% Base Mana Regen, 200% Base HP Regen, 500HP, 10% Max HP Shield, 80% Slow, 600 range 40% Movespeed boost.

Just a little problematic.
