Yet again, support maltreatment

This must be a test for you, community. How far can you go, pushing the support to do more and more things while you reap all the benefits and praise for it while doing jack shit to earn it?

Every game now, I'm expected to cover for any shortcomings any other champion or role has. The tank doesn't cut it? I'm the tank now, even if I'm a mage. The team doesn't have a tank? Same answer. I'm expected to lay down more wards than the ward limit will allow (people STILL don't know this is a fucking thing), ward/steal baron/herald/dragon, push lanes (but not kill any minions!), poke the enemy (then get yelled at and reported for every kill), tank all the damage (then get yelled at and reported for every death), apply crowd control, apply buffs that the ADC will squander on fucking JUNGLE CAMPS, ward more, smash the enemy's wards, defend all three lanes at once (killing minions still not allowed!, get focused, taking the attention off the ADC (who is STILL trying to kite a jungle camp!), and twenty or thirty other jobs that I'll never be able to get to because I'm already getting stretched painfully thin. By the way, the jungler, the mid laner, the top laner, and the ADC, who all went all AD melee assassin and wanted to focus only on damage and pentakills, can't do their job, so that's my job now on top of everything else. And if I can't do it, I get four man reported.

I'm tired of this. I warn you endlessly not to overspecialize, that my job is already complicated enough without you shirking your own responsibility because you can't do your fucking job. Every other role, even the jungler, is allowed to fuck up all they want. The support, in my experience, is not allowed to fuck up even once. Every spell, every last bit of crowd control, has to land with absolute precision because no one else bothered to pick a champion with even so much as a slow.

I've gone through this song and dance for three years now, watching everyone else fuck up all they like, because ultimately it's MY responsibility to clean up after you, or else I can face another four man report, because the first thousand or so haven't stuck yet. Top lane failed? That's my fault. Mid lane failed? My fault. Jungler is overcome by sated madness? My fault.

I hope you enjoy that queue screen. I hope you have to watch it for the rest of your life, and that you'll never be able to get into another game.

As a support main, sometimes it feels like I'm babysitting a bunch of 4 year olds, but its part of the job. Tbh I don't usually get treated badly. With my games, I'm usually either ignored and nobody says anything to me, or someone actually acknowledges the good heals and saves and assists I do with a "good job" XD.

Sometimes I do get those self absorbed adcs though who think they are invincible and go into things recklessly, then blame me when they die.

This is the thing I have for those adcs who think they are so good they can do anything,

My job as support is to keep the adc healthy and safe in lane, and to also score them kills, but keeping them safe comes first. That does not give you the right to act as reckless as possible. I am not a superhero, I am not God, if you go into something stupidly and suddenly there is no guarantee I can help you and I will NOT help you if I know I will die too. It is not my fault if you play like an idiot and die because of it, it is not my fault if you go in without any warning especially if I am not even close enough to help you.

I get adcs sometimes who think they can do anything, and then they go into something stupid and end up dying and putting the blame on me. Every time an adc does something stupid I do whatever I can to help, but if you make a bad call and pay the price with your life that is not my fault. Having a support in lane does not mean you can do whatever you want and be fine. You need to work as a team, you are not invincible.

I usually have more problems in lane with an adc than the rest of my team. In fact, I've actually left lane a couple times to go help the rest of my team when my adc has been that bitchy. I'll say "I hope you don't mind if I help other lanes" and they'll always tell me to leave. Later in the game I've actually had a couple say "I was acting like a jerk, I apologize".

I like supporting, I like the feeling I get when I help someone even if they don't acknowledge it, but sometimes people think that they can do whatever they want and I am ultimately responsible for them. I am there to help the team, but I can't do that if you constantly throw yourself into danger without warning.
