A whole class is being unviable for months now

Ok, as Riot introduced classes to champion design, we have one that's called Juggernauts. http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/page/gameplay-update-juggernauts. And we had a rework of champions in it, and some (one) item inducement in the game for them to use, being Dead Man's Plate. http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Dead_Man%27s_Plate However, out of all this we only had viable Darius and Mordekaiser before Worlds 2015, and after nerfs the class became dead. Even further, Dead Man's Plate has also been nerfed, making it always a lesser option for itemization. Rito please?

OP needs to realize that a champion doesn't have to be picked competitively to be in a good spot balance wise. Nearly all the juggernauts are doing fine, but the weaknesses they have are easily exploitable at the highest skill level, so they don't see a whole lot of play there unless the person plays that champion a lot. In a coordinated 5v5 with pro level players, it's even more pronounced.

The reason they were picked Worlds 2015 is because they were absurdly powerful. That's not something that should be repeated.

League of Legends is a sport, and its competitive nature made it become the most popular game in the world. Not Solo Queue, Ascension, U.R.F. , Twested Treeline of any other shit for that matter. Meaning that if we don't have a variety of champions available for competitive use, the meta becomes boring (Ekko, Poppy, Trundle) and immediately a worse thing to spectate or become involved into. All champions are made for that use (or at least should be), and balancing of the game has always been done according to professional matches, not Solo Queue.

Honestly they seem to be in a good place. They all have carry potential but have that one innate weakness of being kitable, but if any of the champions listed as juggernaut get ahead in lane (which is entirely feasible since most of them are good in the early game) they then can solo carry games. They're just not as good in pro play since their immobile nature makes them easy targets, but in our world they're perfectly fine.

Maybe except Illaoi, who can't really be buffed or she'll be stupid OP in no time flat, so she's generally kinda weak right now.

They are not in a good place. What is in a good place are Ekko, Poppy, Trundle and Maokai and their both competitive and soloQ pick rate. When I see Nasus or Darius in every other professional game, then they would be in a good place.

Your gonna downvote anyone that disagrees with you?

That's so narrowminded.....

A champion can be in a good place balance wise but still not be featured non stop in pro play, open your fucking eyes.

Juggernauts are doing fine as far as I can tell - including some non-traditional ones. Try Braum or Tahm Kench top sometime.

Where, in bronze? I'm talking about meta, where people play champions to the maximum of their abilities, that is LCS or let's say platinum+ (although I still think that amateur play isn't the closest representative of champions' strenght). That's where we can see if something is good or bad, and how much. After all, Riot has always balanced the game accordingly to professional use and success with them, not bronze or silver scrub win rate.

Darius is in a pretty good place right now.

I still have good success with Garen, Skarner (I like his rework), and Mordekaiser.

And Juggernauts actually have: DMP, Titanic and Ravenous Hydra, and Sterak's.

Unfortunately, you don't even play ranked, so it's irrelevant.

If any class of champions has been being left out it's control mages. Juggernauts are still pretty viable, and actually do pretty well in even competitive play.

But, honestly, as a control-mage example, how often do you see an Anivia in competitive play? There are those who are really good at Anivia, but overall control mages seem to be lacking.

lol, all juggernauts have 0% competitive pick rate, stop acting dumb.

0%? There's been quite a few Darius picks, in fact I think there's been more Darius picks than any other top.

uh, the only tops I've seen are Ekko/Maokai/Ryze.

Darius had a large presence in 2015 but has been silent so far this year.

In any case, darius isnt the entirety of the juggernaut class. The OP was right in noting that the juggernaut class has been absent from the LCS.

Then again, this disgusting mobility creep which riot seems to have just now started controlling is what has led to the downfall of most juggernauts. Only darius can survive because he's just an incredibly well balanced champion. Kudos to riot on the darius rework. The rest unfortunately were either irrelevant, or like mordekaiser, broken and then nerfed to irrelevancy.

morde is my favorite champion to play. he's who i have the most fun playing. i would never ever play morde in a pvp game because characters like ahri exist. i play ahri instead. one character being able to make another look immensely stupid and punish the hell out of them for trying to do something as foolhardy as get within range to attack is simply wrong and the game used to be balanced better than that. it gets even worse in combinations of champs, where if the enemy team has an ahri and a janna or ashe, you might as well set down your m/kb and just afk the game.
