Why is Vayne banned more than Ashe?

I get that Vayne can be a complete pain, but ashe is much more frequent and a complete menace if they're good at the role and kiting. She also comes with a much lower skill cap.

Its a team comp thing. There are more often than not team comps that rely on tanks peeling for your adc or frontlining to just meat shield everything, throw a vayne on your team and that team comp is not only garbage late game with her scaling and true damage, but garbage early and mid game as well due to a late game team's general lack of early game pressure.

Ashe you can still build a thornmail for, she's not ripping team comps from doing what they want to do at champ select.

Neither champs are really broken, but if you want to go garen for example, there is a very good reason why you'd shoot for a vayne ban over ashe or any other adc.

Yeah I don't think either are broken. And if your trying for the tank comp, just make sure one of them is a malphite and you no longer have a vayne issue.

It's easier to play around a good Ashe than a good Vayne.

I'll admit a bad Ashe is harder to deal with than a bad Vayne, but only in an annoying way. They are still both bad after all.

Plus there are higher priority targets for my bans than Ashe. So long as you don't play directly into her strengths you're fine.

Thats all champs in low elo tho? Believe most adcs literally walk up melee range to a tyrn to make sure there auto attacking the "focus" in a team fight.

For one, Vayne rhymes with bane... which she can be if she is really good, especially if the game gets to the lategame and she can just decimate any other ADC who can't burst her before she can destroy them... like Draven can do all game.

Also, Vayne has a stigma attached to her, people hate to face her because the good ones can be criminally irritating, like a really good Shaco player level of annoyance. On the flip side, there are a lot of people who hold to the image of Vayne attracting a lot of people who tend to exemplify both what is negative of many league players, and in particular ADC's in general.

For many people, Vayne mains exist in their minds as peoples who aspire to be LCS material and believe themselves to be capable of similar actions, and while I'm not one to rain on anyone's parade, sometimes it takes a little more than big dreams to go big. This potential attracts a lot of people who play her because she can play really well at the LCS level, but a lot of people can't play her to that extent and often get caught out and die, thus where the infamous 'Vayne dying trying to 1v5' joke comes from.

Some of these players who tend to make risky plays then blame others for what is ultimately their mistake, and from one bad tendency a lot of others tend to develop.

These are of course a lot of stereotypes and assumptions, but people aren't banning champions based solely off statistics alone, and Vayne has good enough reason for some to be banned, either by people who don't want to face her or play with people who WOULD play her on the chance they play poorly and potentially become toxic.
