I'm so confused. A few weeks ago he was at like 39%. He wasn't even touched in the last patch, and all of a sudden he's one of the most OP champs in the game. Someone please explain LOL.

57% is actually 14% more wins and 14% more losses mathematically. It is VERY significant. But I wouldn't expect you to understand that.

He was buffed, even small buffs can do that.

Also last patch, Riot forgot to make his primary ability work with any spell items.

Mathematically, it was actually a pretty big buff. He's basically healing the same off of people with no resistances, and he's healing much, much more off of anyone who does have resistances. Add in the large amount of hp/level and that people FINALLY stopped maxing E in most games, and it made a huge benefit for his winrate.

There is such thing as a "learning curve". Throwing in extra buffs was probably too much too.

The biggest change that I noticed with the rework is that he can actually farm now when before the rework he basically had to last hit every minion with his poor auto. I am easily keeping up on farm now, when before I'd struggle with any kind of harass.

the Buff was a big deal, it was basically an undoing of a nerf he received a long time ago. Swains healing used to ignore MR while the damage dealt was. they changed that ages ago. the recent buff was similar to that but right now that was probably too strong.
