Need Help vs Certain Champions

creatureplex··1 votes·642 views

I'm a bronzie been stuck in bronze, and having a hard time getting out, I'm struggling against certain champions, and would like some advice. Namely Pantheon, and Vladimir top lane, my champions are Garen, Jax, Trundle, and Gangplank!

Bot lane, I'm having issues against Jhin, and it seems like their support is a lot more skill than mine is like every game, namely my support keeps getting caught and killed, or just all around picking a bad support compare to it's counterpart, ex, picking a thresh against a blitzcrank instead of using an alistar, Janna, or Morgana, shit even Taric would of been nice. My cs is normally really good great ward placement as I don't get ganked often, but it always seems like I'm being heavily pressed to my tower. My adcs are Ashe, Miss Fortune, Twitch, and Tristana.

work on your positioning your dying far too much, also why the hell are you building sterrecks gage? don't, its pointless unless your a Graves who can utilise its stats well.

go to op.gg and look at the champions you play build paths and runes, your build paths are really weird on a lot of those games.

watch your VoDs you will learn SO much from them, if your serials on improving you need to watch them.

**against a jhin ** -you need to play around his 4shots, as does he, now if he walks forward with a 4th shot ready, walk off, simple do not try to trade as you will not win with his Auto Crit + Q burst and then a speed-up to walk off.

  • if you see a jhin hitting the minions back line that means he is going for a Q bounce to you much like MF's Q, this will hit like a truck as it increases in damage when its killed a minion (or more) so again, position so it will bounce to minions not to you, so side-on the wave, manuvre round when minions are in Q kill range so it again doesn't bounce to you.

  • with a support who has a bind jhin will (or should) look to E (traps) then W (root) to 100% get that plant damage off with an auto + Q and you will probably be dead meat, build a QSS if you keep getting caught early to stay in lane and sustain more if your having trouble.

  • his ult: if he pops this, your obviously going to be moving out of the way BUT be aware that if he pops at a long range he's only trying to slow you to allow a gank so do not worry and burn a flash if needed to escape.

ultimate 2: - if you are ash SAVE your ultimate for his, as soon as he lets you can see where he is as his skill zone thats visible funnels and gets smaller right to him, aim, fire, and you cancel his ultimate and can turn the fight as he's out of range for a while to do damage, just dodge his W bind.

TLDR, learn mechanics, don't burn ultimates and above all concentrate on your positioningg, always approach bot lane as a 1v2 lane and if you do get a good support, awesome.

  • most of the time your support has a better ratio than you, stop blaming your support i think its more you out of position getting yourself killed, I'm not saying your supports are pro but your negative a fair bit, infant 5 out of 6 games you are negative on your KDA, fix that first and foremost, stop getting caughtt and dying.

I only get Sterak's Gage if I feel I could use it to counter an ad assassin or if enemy marksman fed off my team and I know I can't 1 v 1 them, at least I can get a little armor and have more survivability but still produce some damage, gives me damage and armor situational item don't get it every game. I don't bother getting Guardian angel unless I feel I can actually use if more mostly against ap assassins, Sterak's Gage is nice cuz it gives armor and still gives me damage ntm it works to similar to Maw of Malmortius in a way. I use Championfy and usually follow that build with slight deviation when I need to. Last 6 or 7 games been rusty and haven't been winning very much, and even when we do we've lost bot lane in every matchup though usually I'm leading in cs before they take the tower. I have 6 rune pages 1 for Ashe, Tristana, and Miss Fortune, Twitch, Ashe Countered, Tank Defense, Jax, and Gangplank.

As for Jhin, what do I do if he has a support that makes me want to stay behind my minions as that's usually the type of supports I'm playing against????

With my supports you should check the beginning at first I'm more passive unless I see an opportunity usually my first death or 2 usually comes from me trying to save my support from getting caught. Last few games, my support died twice and fed my enemy adc, which sucked because I was dominating in cs, so that kind of well brought game back even, and gave them more gold advantage over me, which they use which made it impossible for me to even try trading anymore. Though I will say I struggle hard against Jhin, Lux, Morgana type combos. But that's because Morgana tries hitting me with her q, she misses, she drops her aoe, I don't get hit by Jhin's bombs all that much my support does trying to harass and then I get hit from it after it hits them. Last few games been hard on me cuz we're losing not just my lane but every lane and our jungler well what can he do if every lane is losing we're fucked, I chalk it up to just rotten luck. Starting to feel like normal matches are harder than rank right now.

you can ring around a roses the minion line, its not easy, especially vs those picks or karma/brand as they have a ton of damage and utility, i would say just be patient and ask for a gank, i know the jungler doesn't and won't always come its their choice, if the games going well elsewhere, when your enemy laners backs, rotate to said lane and take an objective, try to make your presence felt across the rift, thats the best option you don't always get a chance for this and i 100% understand that.

you could always take cait, ashe, varus, anyone with longer range either by ability (virus Q) or in general (cait) to help you, you could also use her trap-line to stop the harass from the support.

if you look at my history, you'll see I'm on a loosing streak too, my jhin was 75% WR but now its 59% over-all, I'm a bit disappointed but even in my losses I'm 3/3/5 2/5/12 9/6/12 etc, not the best at all and go to the previous (before the last 5 or 6 horrible matches) and you'll see the score-difference, we all go through loss streaks thats my point here haha just try not to worry too much and think what YOU could of done differently, granted some wins are impossible but sometimes if you (not directly at you here, any ADC player) positioned better could of been a triple or something, etc.

unfortunately i can't check the begging of the games properly without the VoDs, i'm at work too so can't read the play by play accurately enough to try to get a picture, but either way its inaccurate id need the VoDs to voice a true opinion you are right though stats do not show everything.

my virus 9/6/10 for example was 4/1/8 until i miss-positioned, and followed the team in when i should of hung back, fed cho was annoying though.

And if enemy adc goes up by two should I start hugging my side of the river, and stop trying to trade altogether at that point? One of the largest issues I think I'm having right now is getting caught transitioning between lanes getting better at that though. Also after positioning sometimes I start attacking and forget to kite lol.

theres a no.1 problem you've identified right there, always kite! seriously get that under control, makes a huge difference, sometimes if i know 100% I'm going to win i just stand there but usually i try to dodge.

as for trading you need to know your spikes and the enemy spikes and the combo's needed to do the spike, so if you dodge an ability, suddenly you might be able to win the trade out-right.

what you want to look at is CS > Kills, if he has 2/0 and 50cs but you have 0/0/0 and 100cs, your actually ahead of him in gold by a few 300ish and thus will probably maybe have either a level advantage, close to one or you've got (almost certainly if you have backed) an item advantage.

now saying that you could out-trade, out play and win however what are the supports like? look at the whole lane if your support is a level down, item down/core component down then its probably a good idea to just ignore the trades and just poke them and wittle them down slowly waiting for or forcing them to make a mistake.

and the jungler, if you haven't seen the enemy jungle be sure to ward, i see you buy visions so thats good, but if you have a feeling they ar playing too confidently don't engage don't trade as probably there is a helper near by, instead look to back, let them push, etc, and get vision where you can, don't rely on support for this, rely on yourself.

likewise if you are 0/5/0 but have 60+ farm on your enemy laner, gold wise unless he gained shut down gold your ahead so don't think your weak.

when it comes to fights if you know you can't win and your going to die, just disengage, better for one to die than you both, if you can pick up a kill great if you can't then forget it, maybe rotate to a tower if you can if not then just retreat, farm the jungle if you need too, the drugs/chickens are there for the taking, take them.

I'm good at kiting like 1 v 1 type of things it's more just when team fights break out when I engaged, I seem to lose track of my champion lol. normally I sit around 20+ cs above my enemy adc through laning phase but they feed hard off of my support and if they get a kill early game it kind of really sucks, because then they generally get their first finished item before I do and are able to push my tower really hard, sometimes taking it. Or I'll get 4 man ganked at bot lane which I believe is more my fault for not paying attention to where the enemies are.

I will say this, when I have a team that likes to protect me, I feel like I'm in Plat playing with a bunch of un-ranks, my damage my kda my mechanics, but when my team doesn't give 2 rats ass about protecting me, I become an easy target and focus to all hell and back, I love playing adc when my team works as a team, hate it when my team doesn't, and does zero to try protecting me. Is there anything I could do to try encouraging my team to protect me better?

the only way I've found for them to peel for me is asking nicely, which never works or 1/10 or which sometimes does work is just have a really good score and show them how quickly something dies when your allowed to Auto attack and say ''right guys, thats the damage i can do, tons, protect me and we will win the fights''

  • if you see 1/2 split pushing just run up the midlane and let your team go to the side lanes, or effectively giving yourself peel, ping for assistance on a side lane, go to head there ''rope a dope'' them and push up midland like a bat out of hell and get objectives while you sacrificed them for the cause.

honestly as an ADC sometimes you could be 10/0/4 and still get screwed as your not allowed to damage, easy fixes would be;

-Caitlyns Range -Varus Q poke (seriously he is insane right now) -Ziggs (acc though) -jhin : just ult and W, go in for the clean-up as jhin your looking to execute targets anyway not go toe-to-toe parse'

honestly if you want peel go with a Duo, i stopped having luck on ADC and went to mid the last few games, my score is scarily better, so think I'm personally sticking here for a bit, still an ADC main but just having a little fling.

I'm thinking about just going top as primary and if I find a really good sup adding them so that I can play with a support more often, instead of rolling the dice just find out that most games I'm going to have a crappy support.
