Jax is played top. He fits top well. He can duel.

At worst, Kennen gets shit on by 70% of top champions when both players are skilled. Anything with mobility and burst destroys him. All bruisers destroy him. Tanks can ignore his damage because it's so low. He doesn't fit into top lane, but he's pigeon-holed into playing there. Good top laners at Diamond will actually intentionally try to get stunned, so they can follow up with an all-in and take advantage of the diminish on the next stun.

At best, Kennen has no kill potential on any top champion. If anyone ever dies to Kennen at top, it's because their decision making skill is shit. He doesn't have the damage to all-in until the enemy is very low, and if they're that low and don't recall, you're probably playing at Bronze or Silver.

He needs wave clear so he can be played at mid. Right now, playing Kennen at mid is basically an automatic loss unless both of your other lanes go even or win. If one of them loses and their opponents group mid, you have no way to stop them from taking all of your towers.

Nah Jax loses every lane atm...he is one of the worst toplaners on the current patch.

I agree with you though, outside of being a lane bully for the first couple levels Kennen can't do much top lane. Tanks can ignore his damage after their first back and most bruisers can just kill him. Which would be fine for a champion with such strong teamfighting potential but the problem is his teamfighting isnt as reliable as others classic teamfight champions such as Malphite. Kennen's engage is very telegraphed and almost any team has a champion that can deny it....Janna ult, Morgana Q, Lux Q, Braum ult etc...unless you get a really good (tp) flank the only thing your ult does is make enemies use some more or less important cooldowns on you.

sadly never. its always been kennens problem. he does everything but he doesnt do it strong enough. want an engager? Malphite want a poker? Xerath . want a roamer ? Rengar . want a cc bot? Nautilus .

its just kennen thing. does everything which is why i love him (tho i am a shit kennen he is holding me back since i have a 30% winrate on him and are in plat 2 xD) but he just does things less effective then others. im hoping for a rework where they turn his q into like a 1 cd item 3087 to make him just keep adding stacks of his passive. and other minor things... like why does lighting not move instantly on his e? make it like a shaco q or something with a w link between the locations and shock there.
