Jungle feels like shit

s9 jungle felt like shit and now it feels even more like shit, nothing fun about being down 3 levels on solo laners and BARELY keeping up with bot lane if you are constantly farming and not ganking. As a player that mostly plays aggressive junglers even getting kills with ganks doesn;t give you enough to keep up with farm junglers at this point, if you gank you still lose out on exp and you end up falling behind even if your gank worked out. I know people wanted the lane camping to stop but now people will start bitching about not getting ganks ever because both teams have a farming jungler trying to scale to catch up to solo lanes. Atleast s9 you felt useful sometimes but now i feel like a weaker version of a support and im likely just done with this role until it is fixed (if it gets fixed).

You're not pathing properly then. You should be lower than your laners, but not 3 levels lower. Unless they're absolutely stomping.

Jungle timers got lessened and shared EXP is also less, so you're mostly supposed to be farming and really only ganking when an opportunity shows itself and trying not to share EXP when possible.

I think you just don't understand the changes and still playing like it's Season 9. Which honestly, still shouldn't put you 3 levels behind.

You're just pathing bad as mentioned below, most high elo junglers agree this is a buff to jungle if you're good at pathing.

I was reaaaaaally skeptical of these changes after last season, but I played yesterday and jungle felt pretty good. Being the winning jg finally DID allow me to get a lead on laners most games, and getting all the dragons actually madea difference in a game where Olaf was bearing me on ganks but not cs or dragons.

We are still less likely to level as fast as a lane champ, but objective and map control was very rewarding finally, so mostlyI like the changes.

I still haven't seen the Elder execute yet though, it sounds horrid.

These changes were meant to be a net nerf to full aggro junglers. They've been too strong for a while and have honestly needed it. It's a welcome buff to less aggressive junglers, a playstyle that has been shit for the last few seasons. The changes are doing exactly what was intended, and that's a very good thing.

I much prefer this Jungle to S9. It reminds me of the old season 4-6 Jungle because Farming is actually viable again and you can fall behind a nit early but still make a comeback with good pathing.

They increased the camp respawns unfortunately for the power farmer jungle meta to work it also requires additional vision like wriggles lantern used to provide so you can know when its safe to power farm and when you need to show up and wave at one of several junglers who can solo dragon by themselves with ease.

I honestly felt better playing jungle just earlier, i mean sure i was behind more in EXP by a level on average but once i got my clearing rolling i started raking in gold faster and faster it felt like.

Counterjungling has lost it´s value more or less but speedclearing is bountiful, and of course by needing to focus more on clearing there is a greater need to make sure your ganks work or you´ll truly have wasted too much.

However if you pull it off cleanly then you´ll actually stay just behind sololanes in EXP while even or superior in gold.

This added with better objectives has really let me have an impact even while playing Shyv, the only part i´d consider very unfortunate is the Elder dragon changes which i think makes it far too OP......and it´s bugged which makes it indisputably so.
