Is that it allows you to generate golds** While** killing minions. This is the actual reason why every other ap item is less efficient to mid laners, is because it gives the same amount of gold as 4-5 free kills for a 30 mins game. Even if you remove the active completely, it's still worth rushing.
AHarmlessTaco1 votesYeah. My idea is that they disable it for only 12 seconds upon killing a minion in case you kill one on accident. If they made it so that it disabled for 30 seconds if you killed more than 2 minions or something like that then I think it would fix a lot of the problems. Something to disable it for longer on the condition that you've already killed a few minions. Or upon killing a minion it disabled the item for X seconds per minion killed and just keep adding time up to a max.
