Can we keep the Team Builder?

New champion selection is amazing for sure, however I don't think it can replace Team builder. It's mode like an upgrade version of draft pick, which ensures players won't fight over roles. Meanwhile, Team Builder allows its users to play off-meta picks without a bitching team. I'm actually surprised to see nobody mentioned this as the amount of off-metanists on the forum is annoyingly high. I guess they are more used to screw people's game in ranked than actually using the Team Builder feature because they don't want to wait for 5 extra minutes they don't care about others. But anyway, Team Builder is unique, important, and cannot be replaced by the new champion selection. As an off-meta player, I hope I can at least get a reason why it has to be removed. @Riot

Ps: personal experience, I just played a new draft normal today, as Vi Top. It's not even THAT off-meta, but already enough to keep my entire team flaming me fourty minutes until we finally won. And I wasn't even feeding, it was a close match, anybody can check my match history. We need Team Builder badly Riot. It's another thing deleted without a decent reason, along with blue potion, if you keep doing this, you are gonna loose your players step by step.

Now us casuals are forced to play Blindpick or just quit. At the rate things are going, I might just do the latter. Thank god I haven't started buying rp yet because I was honestly going to around spring time, but seeing as how the game is going right now, I think I should just put it in another console game.

I want it back just because it seems like the people trolling the new draft are the people who only played Team Builder.. Bring it back and get them out of our lobby pls, Make us both freaking happy.

Yes exactly this!!! Rito only promoted more toxic behavior by removing a core part of the game that a good chunk of the community still loved.

For months and months after I started playing, Blind was literally all I played until I finally decided to give TB a try, and I was so glad I did

It was nice getting the guaranteed role I wanted all the time and not having to go support or ADC when someone else called the role I wanted, or get trolls who autolock when you called it first. I love Team Builder, and a Rioter apparently said they're bringing something like it back in the future, and I hope it's really, really similar, or my faith in this game will be demolished completely

Its a Mirror Mode... So, its going to be limited. Not sure how its going to work, because Team Builder has you select a champ before going into the search process, so this might turn out bad.

This is what i was about to say, I like the new draft but i really loved team builder it changed that way I played. So i would love to have both and I really hope that if we make enough noise riot really noticed and fix this

People bitching at you for off-meta picks isn't a queue-type problem it's a people problem. If you want to play off-meta without people without people bitching at you for sure play with friends or play normals for less bitching than draft.

That said, Team Builder definitely fills a niche that the other queues don't and is worth keeping. It was introduced for a reason, right? Replacing it with upgraded draft pick doesn't really make any sense.

I do believe it still exists, it is just disabled at the current moment due to the bug. Unless they ARE removing it permanently, but I don't think that is going to happen. It won't happen right? Right?

It's down due to a bug. BUT New Draft is staying forever. TB is dead. The people complaining are the people who are sacks of trash who can't play more than one role.

Actually with team builder I learned to play every role, what I enjoy is hosting a team builder lobby and hand selecting what champions are on my team.

I used to find games almost always in under 10 seconds with team builder as support and games started in under a minute. Now, I queue as support, 70% of the time get secondary role, takes a minute or longer to find game, and the draft process takes almost a year to get the game started... gg indeed but if Team Builder doesn't return it's ff

Try making your secondary role something that more people want to play, that way you won't have to do it ;)

This is exactly the problem because The new champion select cannot replace Team Builder New mode is good for ranked/competitive/soloque while Team Builder is perfect for off-meta picks, that is a job the new mode** cannot** do

And I have no idea why can't we keep them both

I agree, I want to continue supporting, not being possibly pushed to something else because some other guy got pushed to support when it was his secondary.

Team Builder was actually a Team Builder, you select the members and you choose the options they have. New Champ Select does what Draft does, but only better than the original draft. Why not replace Draft Pick with the New Select instead?

But that's the point, the people who played TeamBuilder (such as myself) were OKAY with the longer queue times. We knew going in that we'd be waiting in a longer queue, but we were okay with it because we were guaranteed to get the role we wanted & because we could try something off meta if we wanted (also the people who played TeamBuilder seemed SIGNIFICANTLY less toxic than those in blind).

Draft and Blind remain but Teambuilder would be the straw that breaks the camel on queue times? Doesn't add up. If anything should be removed to alleviate queue times it should be draft, since champ select is clearly meant as the replacement for that.

They should just make or revamp a game mode into another 'just for fun' mode along the lines of aram's mentality or the special event modes like nemesis or one for all where people come up with off meta ideas but include picking your champ and encourage off meta as the game mode. It's really fun to try out different things but everyone in the game needs to be on board and it cant be as serious since its experimental.

They should just drop blind pick and bring back team builder. If you want blind pick just use the new champ select pick your primary and put fill as your secondary its basically the same as blind pick at that point.

In the future, there will be a queue that uses the new champ select that will be without bans/drafts and will have potential mirror matches a la TeamBuilder Classic. We're just focusing on draft modes at this very moment.
