What to do against Xerath?

He is the only midlaner I can't face. Unrelenting is the only word I can think of to describe him.

He just doesn't seem to get punished for missing his Q.

Dodge it and retaliate and you'll eat a W/E and his Q will be back up as you leave.

Dodge it and don't retaliate and he just pushes you under tower making you choose between farm and living. No CD, No reduction through units and permanent mana return seems too unrelenting to face. There just isn't a window of opportunity.

Sure, once his stun is down he is pretty easy to kill, but I can't think of a single midlaner who can get in range to fight without blowing flash or losing half their health.

What can I do against him?

Added Question, Why is he the only champ in the game who has a skillshot that penetrates minions without getting reduced?

EDIT: Legitimately asking, not complaining.

Same here. One Xerath Q does like 70% of my health. I'm glad he's not played much..The burst in his kit, if he lands all of it without including his ult, is on par with Syndra or Annie's full combo.

He is getting played more and more because they raped assassins, now he has free reign.

Its really just skillshot olympics,

Can you walk to the side better than he can aim?

More often than not he'll try to Q the minion wave so try not to stand where he'll hit you and the minions.

Otherwise yea, thats the skill in the matchup.. whether or not you're better at dodging skillshots than he is at aiming.

That's the problem I have.. I dodge them for a while but there still isn't the option for me to engage him.. to punish him for missing.

They never use their W until they are getting engaged on. I find that by the time he has missed, you walk into range and his Q is back up ready to trade.

His mana return was fine before Fiendish came out, but now it's just ridiculous.
