Does AP Gangplank lich bane proc on barrels?

I'm interested in a more supportive, ult based AP build for Gangplank and I need to know if his AP lich bane damage is dealt to all the minions around the barrels if you hit it with parrley.

barrels only count the phys damage dealt to them

Maybe it procs Luden's echo?

It does, but that means it's does your base Q damage + Luden's + 200 to champs. Not really a lot of damage there. Although I suppose it's a little better than his old E in that respect.
