Can anyone explain why Kass ult got gutted but LeBlanc W (distortion) remains at 600 range?

Kass ult got range reduction to 450. Now I am fine with this personally because I think free flashes that do damage are very powerful. But I don't understand how LeBlanc then (by the same reasoning as Riot used for nerfing Kass) has essentially the same thing except it deals more damage for 600 range? It has a short cooldown (especially when you get some cooldown reduction going) and can be used 2 times instantly with ult.

Probably because her passive doesn't afford her 15% magic mitigation nor gets a shield from her Q, thus making her squishier. You cannot compare two similar abilities and demand equal treatment without acknowledging the rest of the kit the champion possesses.

Holy shit, please stop making threads about this, your only the 50th person that whined about this in this patch. Just because Riot addressed Kassadin before LeBlanc doesn't mean they are okay with LeBlanc's current state and never going to nerf her. Riot releases a patch every month, so I don't see why people are freaking out

Because LeBlanc's Distortion has a longer cooldown. rimshot

Distortion is LB's only AoE ability. She has to use that to kill/harass someone or get CS. If she fails that, she is screwed the rest of the game. Kass has an AA steroid to help CS and 2 AoE skills (at lvl 6.)

That still doesn't answer why the RANGE of the ability is allowed to be so long in contrast to why they said the nerfed Kass range. I am only speaking to the range, not to take it away.

You don't need an ult to clear waves or kill lol. Walk through the Melee minions so that they stack on the casters.

Kassadin's kit is currently pretty broken and there are Riftwalk buffs on PBE. Don't expect him to stay like this, and as a result, don't expect LeBlanc to join him.

True, but riot did not make changes to Kass based on his kit. It was based on too much mobility and not allowing the other person to fight back. LeBlanc is the queen (in my mind) of not letting the other person fight back. This is based on what riot said in regard to the changes on Kass.

Shouldn't the same apply to LeBlanc?
