2/18 PBE Update:

Just got off the PBE try the new item and well its a really nice concept for a 120AP item.

[New Item] Item 3285(Luden's Echo)

** Total Cost: 3100g** (2886.5 gold) (needs 213.5 to be 100% cost effective without passive)
**Recipe: Needlessly Large Rod + Aether Wisp + 650g
 +120 Ability Power** (2610 gold)
 **+7% Movement Speed** (276.5 gold)
**UNIQUE Passive: Gain charges upon moving or casting. At 100 charges, the next spell hit expends all charges to deal 100 (+15% AP) bonus magic damage to up to 4 targets on hit.**

Still it has some issue to be worked out.... ill just list some for those who don't have access to the PBE to get their hands on it.

1. Make the expended charges burn over 5 seconds(echooo get it) Why? you ask well......its too DFG-like with its burst AKA reaction-less sooooooo giving people a chance to respond keeps this from feeling like shit for the other laner since they can use summs or items or just plain out-play dat ass for dangerous game opposed to just popping ALSO keeps them from double procing it on 1 All-in (which you can do very easy especially with CDR) so even if you do if its within 5 secs it only extends the duration over just getting raw burst 2 times (also consider Diminishing Returns such as kennen passive)

2. So....either 20 charges per spell is to high or the item needs to stop procing itself on the same spell (at 80charges it procs) except shiv works this way also so im just thinking just make it 15 per spell and leave the walking amount the same (AKA nerf its gains)

3. Mana? Even if its not exclusive to the Mage-Assassin this item is to help them push lane and roam but doesn't at all help with mana issues that come from pushing like that and which mana is extremely oppressive right now for any mana-user so yeah lets give some mana regen to make the item feel more well-rounded (but not compete with nomicon and chalice) but make it slightly less cost effective without its passive (making more reliance and thought going into the use of the passive to get the most out of the item)

Here's a mock-up change list for the item with my suggestions

[New Item] Item 3285(Luden's Echo)

**Total Cost: 3300g **(3066.5 gold) (needs 233.5 to be cost effective without passive)
**Recipe: Needlessly Large Rod + Aether Wisp + 850g
+120 Ability Power** (2610 gold)
**+7% Movement Speed** (276.5 gold)
**+25% Base Mana Regen** (180 gold)

** UNIQUE Passive: Gain charges upon moving or casting. At 100 charges, the next spell hit expends all charges to deal 100 (+15% AP) bonus magic damage over 5 seconds to up to 4 targets on hit. **

So what does everyone think does this sound good or is there better changes that should be made or does this item just plain suck/broke and needs to be removed from PBE lol let me knowww belowww if you will.

(PS. there is another issue but im just not nearly as confident on how to solve it) 4. The Item procs vs minions so its not really reliable damage vs champs if you have skillshot ability (Lux Q or ahri Q) it will proc on the minions missing the champ was thinking maybe the proc wont go till 0.25 seconds after spell hits anything to check if it hit a champ, if so the proc chains off the champ if not it will chain off the first minion hit like normal but im not sure if this is possible to code or if this will really even work as well off of paper.

100 + 15% AP is not very much compared to DFG. The damage amp alone gave that much extra burst if you did 500 + 75% AP magic damage, never mind the 15% max HP magic damage.

I'm pretty sure it's meant as a DFG replacement, wasn't that the reason for adding a 120AP item? The frustrating thing is it has no CDR then... as DFG was the go to AP+CDR item.

I actually think it looks really cool from this description. Not opposed to your changes either, will trust Riot will balance it appropriately though.

I agree about the number 2 (decrease the spell charge) but for other (maybe) not agree...

maybe reduce the 7% Movement Speed to 6% Movement Speed...

for damage with passive... maybe still waiting for further update... especially for AoE spells which I still don't understand... for single-targeted spell just use Statikk for comparison so I understand...

Couldn't you just throw in a Faerie Charm? Costs 180 gold and gives 25% base mana regen.

How about let's give Morde some love and add some CDR instead of move speed?
