Counterbuilds working a good thing or a bad thing?

Both gotten upvoted, so are counterbuilds a good thing or a bad thing to you?

Welcome to the boards, where everyone complains about everything, and depending on who finds the thread first, it's either downvoted to oblivion or rocketed to the front page

You shouldn't think in extremes.

% Health True Damage literally has no counter build in the game. It should be used sparingly but it isn't. That is a frustrating thing.

The other person is complaining that APCs are so weak that ADCs can build one item that's not even meant for them and suddenly they can't kill any [competent] player.

It depends sitation...

Tanks are supposed to be tanky, cause thats their thing. VS %-truedamage they can't, so it denys their purpose, which is a bad thing, especially as tanky champs generally lack any tools to else avoid damage, like range or mobillity. Thus %truedamage as it is implemented is a bad thing.

...and tuneing

Countering a burstmage with anti burst items isn't all that bad - if you pay the price for it. Maw gives only 10 ad less than the next compareable off item, and it offers a lot mr, a powerfull shield and a sitational lifesteal+as steroid. One argueably doesn't give up much for the anti burst it provides.

Steraks also is probably to effective at takeing away burst damage, while the base-ad still offers some offens.

If adc would pick up Banshies to counter a burst mage, i'm sure less people would complain, as they comitt to a purely defnsive item in order to counter the burst.
