@Riot @Meddler Why are other Marksmans allowed 550 range and Quinn is not?

First off Quinn is by far and ahead the least successful marksman in competitive which really annoys me when we're in a meta where virtually every other marksman is a viable pick besides Varus Ashe MissFortune maybe.Ashe is suppose to be getting changed and other two still suffer from old BT being gone and would probably be competitive with a few number changes or meta shifts, all 3 have seen dramatically more place than her in the past.

She was picked a grand total of 10 times since her release and she lost 8 of those games, she makes urgot look good even prior to his recent return, and I blame on the fact that she's given 525 without any meaningful edge compared to other marksmans who are either given 550+ range, or some unique niche that justifies their lower range, and makes it a worth while trade off to consider.

Let's look at marksmans champions with >550 range and the reasons they're there first: Graves has because he's got solid AoE burst, semi-mobile, tankness from passive, and sight lowering. KogMawJinx both of them because they have skills to increase range as well as strong poke tools beyond that. Lucian because of his mobility, laning bullying, anti-siege ult, and trading power. Sivir because of her ultility from ult & spell-shield combined with her ability to AoE waves down. Urgot has it anti-carry passive, his q and q+e combo, has shield, & gets tankness for using his ultimate that puts him at risk. Quinn ???, her mobility is much lower than Lucian or Graves and depends purely on her ult out of combat, her burst requires her to go melee anyways w/o giving her any extra defensive, her only utility is vision, unreliable AS steroid, her only poke/AoE is long CD and not high damage, so I am struggling to see why she's put to this range when she's naturally an unsafe tower pusher, when Graves Lucian lane pressure harder than her while being safer than her.

Now let's look at some of the 550 range marksmans Kalista - sometimes I literally see her a better version of Quinn, and her having 550 ranges makes me question why they hell Quinn doesn't the most of any 550 range champion. She has a longer duration vision tool, better poke, infinitely more mobile than Quinn thus more safe with more range for sieging, and a better, lower CD, & safer execute than Quinn. If she's allowed to be 550 I really fail to see why Quinn can not be. Ezreal - better poke than quinn, safer than quinn, more uptime on AS steroid, debately more burst than Quinn, and yet has more range than than her. Draven Vayne both more reliable trading potential than Quinn, are comparable to her in mobility and burst, and CC. Corki - I really hope I don't need to explain Corki who's be a stable in competitive since forever. You should being the point here already.

So currently I feel Quinn doesn't excel greatly enough in any particular area to warrant having below average range especially in light of Kalista existing with 550 range. So I'd her like to her giving a mini-rework to make something a niche she excels at to justify her range like how I explained above, or simply raise it because it isn't justified in current kit and she was gimped from release because riot was scared of her potential which clearly hasn't manifested. And I am left wondering why riot thinks she deserves it.

tl;dr Quinn Either needs to be given 550 range or given something defining to make up for her 525 range.

Because Quinn is not an ADC in the purest sense. She's a marksman with a self sufficient and skirmishy kit, traits that aren't found in traditional ADCs. End result is a powerful dueling champion that can hold her own without a support. She was an experiment and they're perfectly fine with her being a solo laner that can duo, even if it means her bot lane is on the weaker side.

Honestly the whole range argument should have died after the whole "Sivir can never be viable as long as she has 500 range" fiasco. Quinn is niche at best, and she's had a really bad track record as far as crippling bugs are concerned. Don't worry, I'm sure someone (UoL?) will pick her at some point.

tbh I'd be fine with Quinn having 525 Range if her E was safer to use and less buggy.

I like the way it can follow people as they dash if you time it right, and I like the way you can use it as a reliable Harrier proc.

But it puts you in a pretty bad position in teamfights if you ever try to use it.

If I could make one change, it would be to make her Immune to CC while she is mid-dash. Make her still take damage, but just make her less vulnerable while she's in flight.

Well, you are both right and wrong . Yes, Quinn is a marksman. No, Quinn is not a botlane ADC (in the same way that Urgot isn't). Yes she does need changes. QoL, also maybe minor buffs or tweaks that reinforce the scout-and-skirmish playstyle and theme. Adding range to her human form is most likely not the way to go, BUT I do agree that she should be given some stuff to compensate for her shorter range.

Why is Quinn allowed 335 MS and other 525+ Marks(wo)men are not?

She can have a range boost when they give Teemo one as well. They are similar in many ways if you stop and think about it.

Both should be tweaked to make them viable in bot lane.

I'd love to see bot lane evolve to allow both AP and AD marksmen, with Teemo, Varus, and perhaps Twitch being good AP candidates. Every other lane, as well as jungle, allows AP and AD variants.
